GL, How many days?

I am planning on visiting Geauga Lake for the firs time this year. It will probably be during the week. Anyway, is it going to take more than a day to take in all the coasters? And, what flats are not to be missed? Have any of you stayed in the cabins? Are they decent?

Well if your going during the week it will tkae only 1 day. But if you also plan on going to the water park. I would take 2 days.

You should be able to ride all ten coasters in just a matter of hours on a weekday. The waterparks though (we have 2 half waterparks this years) can be packed. The longest waits will most likely be for X-Flight, and maybe some of the flats.

In terms of coasters, Big Dipper, Steel Venom, and Dominator are a must. We also have a "Hang & Bang" that I hear is running really well this year, plus two more Vekomas, including a boomerang, and X-Flight, the midwest's only flying coaster.

Wood is something to try at GL. While my favorite of the three we have is the Big Dipper, people generally love Villain, and Raging Wolf Bobs got a nice rehab.

In terms of flats, we have a nice assortment. Just don't forget to visit me at The Bellaire Express (monorail), the Skyscraper, and the El Dorado.

Another great thing to try is Dino Island II: Escape from Dino Island. I really enjoyed it, and it is the only simulator I know of in the area.

Thanks Sam. I will stop to introduce myself when I am there. What about Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall? I like those old drop towers. I just read a recent report on Coasterbuzz and it was very positive. The said GL is very clean and the employees are great. I'm looking forward to my first trip there. I always wanted to go when it was SF, but I heard way too many bad things about it. Good to hear it is taking a turn for the better.

I stoped at the park on the 21st {Saturday}. I got on all the roller coasters 1 time within 2 hours and by the end the of the day i rode every roller coaster about 3 or 4 times, I also got to ride 2 of the water rides and got on some of the flat rides. I also stoped at the new Dino movie by the end of the day. To sum it all up if you go on a weekend your be able to do everything you want to, as long as you go before June.

Goodbye 2005 season!!!!

I haven't been on Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall in years, so I can't give you any advice about it. I started training on the ride, but have yet to walk to the top. What I can say is it has worked very well when I was training on it and cycling empty cars.
