June is not a good time to go. If you do...better make it early in the month and on a Tuesday or Wednesday. DO NOT go on a Saturday in June...especially later in the month... it won't be worth your time unless you like to go there to watch people walk around and catch the shows! You will DEFINATELY need a two day pass...one day will not cut it, especially if you do both cp and soak city. Line times vary...go to the big rides first before anything else. Get to the park early. Have a great time!!! ::smile::
Gee, I'd like to know how the lines are for WT in June too...so many of you have gone there in June to ride WT, haven't you? Don't ask us how the lines are to a ride that hasn't been open during that time! :)

Crowds can be a crapshoot. You might as well pull out the Magic 8 Ball (TM) to find out the size of the crowds. June can be like July or like May in crowd size and temperature.

Since we have seen a RASH of this type of post...(always happens each season)..It is once again time for the annual post of how to guesss the crowd level on ---- fill in the blank date. This is NOT directed at you Extreme CP it is an annual occurence around these parts and SOMEDAY;) I may be able submit this to Jeff for a FAQ section....Anyhow for what it is worth here goes....

1. Check the park operating hours for the date you are going to visit...If the park closes at 6p.m. (early May) it is not because CP wants a Midway full of guests looking for something to do...The longer the park hours the higher the crowd level....

2. SATURDAYS ARE THE BUSIEST DAY OF THE WEEK...End of story....followed by Wednesday, Monday, Friday, Thursday, Tuesday, and Sunday....The exception to this rule is what DCahill refers to as the "rain rule"...If there are two straight days of rain in Detroit and/or Cleveland the first dry day will see a bump in crowd level.

3. If it rains in the early morning in Cleveland or Detroit...GO THAT DAY....The crowd levels will be lighter due to the rain. (I am sure some of us on the broad have had a trip canceled due to a "passing" morning shower)

4. There are exceptions to these "rules"..ie Last day of 2000 season. A beautiful fall day...and one of the largest end of the season crowds ever...All that this shows is crowd levels are a crapshoot.

5. There are some "times" when you can pick a lighter crowd day....The end of August for example when the park again closes at 8p.m. is a GREAT time to go if you can schedule it then.

While I can appreciate one's excitement about a trip to CP, please let's keep the ..."What's the crowd level like or what's the weather going to be like posts..off the board...

Let's talk about something REALLY important like WHO HAS ROUND THREE at the Red Garter on Father's Day?
