I saw an advertisment at the Movies for Disney's 'Give a Day Get a Day' program. It basically said kids who volunteer to work for a day helping in various charities and programs will earn a free days entry to the park. Does Cedar Point offer anything like that?
To give the question some substance, I have 6 nephews that really like going to Cedar Point but their parents just don't have the cash to take them, and I don't want to take them quite bad enough to fork out the $200+
Thanks!
Cedar Point will probably never offer this program. Most people that go to Disney stay more than one day, so the free ticket goes to one day out of 4 or 5 days stay. Most people that go to Cedar Point stay for one day, so the free ticket really hurts the bottom line. Also many people that go to Disney stay on site, while very few visitors (compared to Disney) stay at on site at Cedar Point.

The equivalent promotion at Cedar Point (or any amusement park where the single day visit is the norm) would be something like, Give a Day, Get $8 Off. Even that, though, isn't an apples to apples comparison with the Disney model.
Thanks guys.
With the tax deduction, good PR, and probability that in park spending covers the majority of the actual 'expense' of having someone in the park, I'm guessing the idea has been tossed around, but was declared, as mentioned, insufficient.
