GIF Images

It says that pictures have to be in .gif format to be put as an avatar here on PointBuzz, anyone know how to make a picture into that format?

Try Photoshop's save for web function.

I think that you can open a picture in paint, and resave it as a gif. Paint is under accessories, if you didn't know.

I tried saving it as a .gif image from paint, but it distorts the colour and when I shrunk it down to size it distorts it even more.

You going to distort no matter what. GIF doesn't have as many colors as a JPEG has. Just keep trying to find .GIF compatable colors.
