I would have booked a room there if I had known of the $30 off coupon. The late arrival didn't give me time to book a room (I mean we're talking last minute bookings here).

I'm sure Cedar Point will find a way to get past this "epic failure". One day at a time.

question about the hotel coupons since i haven't gotten my guide yet. are the coupons redeemed when you make the reservation, or when you show up?

You use the coupons when you pay for the balance of the room... Typically when you check in.

I am saying resort sales could be higher if families had known about this coupon. Most families don't plan a vacation a week in advance, and we have yet to receive our guide even.

You can only plan for opening weekend so late.

Most families don't come to opening weekend, or even in May, for that matter.

I am just saying, it could increase resort bookings.

Still could/could've because people would want to take advantage of the coupon.

My husband and I both got getaway guides in the mail today. They were from having season passes last year though. I didn't get the one that I signed up to get yet this year. (I know this because my name has since changed and I used my married name to request a guide from the website a couple weeks ago.)

Mine still hasen't come and I signed up for it on Sunday. I'm so anxious.

My Get Away Guide came today, -- and the only weird thing I noticed in this guide was that, on the photos of the roller coasters, guest have their hands raised.

In most older comercials, and advertisements, because of the -Ohio Ride Code- that claims all guest must ride the rides holding on, the older photos have everyone holding on. On these new photos guest have their hands raised....

I just found that strange. :)

We are going tomorrow and no get away guide yet, sent for one months ago.....anyone have any tips to get one?

Yup, still waiting in S.C.

^^ - they didn't go out till the first of May, so regardless of how long ago you ordered, that's when they were sent.

Maybe Vince can say whether he has his, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a hangup with mail across the border delaying them by a day or two.

I still have not received mine yet. I got my platinum pass pamphlet though. Also, AAA in Western PA did not received theirs yet. That is were I get my second one :)

As long as mine gets to me by next week, I'll be good.

Got mine today, the day after I was at the park. Figures.
