Getaway Guide

Could someone tell me how to get a Getaway Guide from CP? Every year when I call them and ask for one they insted send me brochures. I even explained to the lady over the phone that it is a magazine published by the park, but still get the brochures. The only thing that I can think of is that they look up your name and address in the computer to see if you are a pass holder, and if you are you don't get one. Any insite anyone.
All I know is that I request one through their website, and I get one every year. Why don't you try that. I'll even give you the link-

That's weird they won't give you the actual Getaway Guide. See if this works, I think they start mailing them out in the next month or two.

Hey Vince, you live too close to the park to get one. I usually have a family member out of state call and ask for one for me.

Why won't they give them to people who live close to the park? How close is too close?

How close is too close? Is it close enough to be close to the park? Or is it close to the closeness of the closing of the park? OR, is it too close to be counted as close but rather closey like in a close sort of way...is this close enough for those who are close to the park and feel the closeness????? ;)

Marketing checks your zipcode to determine if you are eligible to receive a Getaway Guide. I remember seeing the zipcode map in Guest Services this summer, but don't remember the exact zipcodes that are eligible. Generally, you need to live anywhere north or west of Toledo (in another state), south of Columbus, or east of Cleveland. If you live within that region, you won't receive a Getaway Guide...its meant to lure people to the park from farther away. However, you could always stop in at Guest Services when you arrive at the park, and most of the time they will give you one.

I actually got a letter from the folks at Cedar Point a few weeks back saying that if I returned an enclosed postcard they would send me a Getaway Guide come early March. I wonder why I had to return the postcard at all--I think they should just send it to me. Oh well, what can you do?

Maybe not receiving a getaway guide will repel me from the park. There are many things competing for my time and money ;) Whaddya think of that CP?

The Getaway Guide has a lot of advertisements for local hotels and other area attractions, including coupons / discounts for not only CP but other things too. The fact that all the hotels are in there is probably part of why they don't send them to you if you're too close (or what they call too close).
