Getaway Guide 2004?

Hi All -

First time posting. I worked at the Point in '91 & '92, and have been back every year since! Just curious - when will the Getaway Guides for this year be mailed? We're planning a trip Memorial Day weekend and would love to have the (food) coupons by then!

From what I hear, the first batch got printed /mailed and then Geauga Lake happened. That put Cedar Fair's printer behind. The next batch of Getaway Guides will come out several weeks from now.

Thanks for your replies - bummer that we likely won't have them by Memorial Day weekend. Nevertheless, that certainly won't stop us from going! Two days and counting for "date" with hubby sans kids; nine days for first family outing (and processing older son's Junior pass without torturing his 4-yr-old patience in a mega-line). Our kids already have been bitten by the coaster-bug - WAHOO!!

We went to CP yesterday with our kids. I stopped at Guest Services and told them I had signed up for a Getaway Guide, but had never received it. She had me fill out a form with my name, address, and e-mail address and then gave me a guide.

While I was there, a woman walked in and said "I left my coupon thing-y at home," and they gave her a Getaway Guide - no problem.

Yeah, I know! I have been expecting mine for sometime as well. I made a post on another Getaway Guide thread round here somewhere. I ordered mine quite some time ago.

I have a question for you all.....would it make sense to call the park to request one again?? Or is that a senseless idea in thinking that it will not get me anywheres?? Please let me know.

Sounds to me that a majority of the guides are "in process". I would assume that if the guides are available at guest services, then we should be able to pick one up upon arrival at the park. Are the guides available at the resorts as well?

Just curious. I am taking my family there the end of June and really need that starlight coupons!! I am going to call CP and check but just wondered if anyone knew off hand.

I will graciously accept your offer of the starlight coupons and email you my address. I have been to CP each year over the past three years but my family has not gone since 1982! I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they see the CP skyline.

So they should be showing up by Memorial Day most likely? I live in Nebraska, so I thought for some reason that may have had some reason to why it's not here yet.

By my name you can tell I reside in the state of Nebraska as well. I believe the guides should be coming along soon however assuming a specific date would most likely be inaccurate. I am certain the folks at Cedar Fair are trying their best to satisfy.

You can download the Coupons and Getaway Guide on Cedar points web site that meant for people in Chicago, but they are exactly the same coupons as in the Getaway Guide. Which I received about a month ago and it does not have GL listed on it.

Not all the coupons available paper version of the guide are in the online version above..Bummer

Anyone got theirs yet??? Still waiting :-). Must be the Geauga Lake purchase that is holding the GG's up!

I took at look at that Cedar Point site meant for Chicago...interesting. Were they trying to build a site specifically for our area??

I have a question, how do you get the getaway guide? I know i asked Cedar Point to send me a brochure, but where can i go to get a getaway guide? Thanks.
