Getaway guide

Anyone else think the getaway guide needs a face lift? The coupon section is getting smaller and smaller every year! Are they sending somthing else out or is this it this year?

What's Life If You Never Get To The POINT?...see yall in line!

I ordered my Getaway Guide in February and still haven't received it :( Are there any worthwhile coupons in it?

Remember, it's nice to be important- but it's more important to be nice.

I ordered mine the same time as well, and nothing in mailbox yet either. If your a pass holder, I'll assume the savings(from coupons) aren't going to save you any money.

Im actually surprised they still print the Getaway Guide. I think most of the coupons in it are Platinum Pass benefits. Not much value of that guide anymore.

Got mine in today's mail. Pics (renderings of Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles inside). No mention of Slingshot. Books are probably more suited if you don't have a Platinum Pass.
Coupons for anyone interested are: $10 off two Soak City tickets, BOGO Challenge Golf, BOGO Challenge Racing, $5 off Ripcord, May and June midweek saver on Sandcastle Suites, BOGO midway games, $20 off Parasail or Wave Runner rental, Hotel Breakers midweek saver coupon, Winter Castaway Bay coupon, four $4 discounts at wildwater kingdom, and (4) $3 coupons for Michigans Adventure.
Hope that helps.

I revived 3 in the mail today and the coupons are minimal at 1/4 of a page I will only use one or two of them

Were all three dead in the mail? What horrible USPS fate caused them such harm that you had to "revive" them?

Also, why'd you get three?

Because Bre really likes those 1 or 2 useful coupons, apparently.

What is the coupon for the Hotel Breakers midweek saver?

Remember, it's nice to be important- but it's more important to be nice.

I happen to have mine right here.

Breakers: midweek saver special. Rates as low as 99 bucks Sun thru Thurs May 11-29, blackout dates May 23-25. Limited availability. Mention coupon at time of reservation, do not combine with other offers.

Sandcastle: June midweek saver special. As low as 179 bucks, June 1-19. Same rules.

Sandcastle: May midweek saver special. As low as 139, May 18-29. Same rules, same blackout dates.

I just ordered a Getaway Guide yesterday, when do you think I will get it?

What's mail? Get used to it... promotional materials delivered on paper are going the way of Disaster Transport.

I wish it would happen sooner rather than later so the counter in my kitchen is less of a mess! :)

I miss the map in the Getaway Guide. As a kid I would keep that out and look it over in the days before our trip to get a feel for where things were and plan our trip. A detailed map in advance would be nice for our group. We have no idea where some of the restaurants are for the meal deals!

Paper maps are being replaced just like snail mail. You can download a pdf of the map they used to print on cedarpoint.com. You can look at it to your heart's content on your computer, or even print it out if you want to kill some trees.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

But very little is labeled on the map, Pete. It's only useful if you know where everything is, which sort of defeats the purpose of a map. :)

PDFs are fine, but they don't really take the place of a big souvenir-caliber map that you can fold out and do what chris9ty wrote above. You could tape some pages together I guess, but that's kinda lame.

And btw, souvenir maps are only 99 cents in the park stores.

Used to, I only stopped looking at the map up tip opening day when they stopped including it. ;)

If they aren't going to include all the coupons they used to have in the guide, I wish they would at least send them by email.
