General question (First timer going)

I am not going to go all out and plan out like every ride and stuff, but I do have some questions I would like answered, if you don't mind.

1.) How is TTD running. I read in the TTD part of the board that it has been rough the last couple of weeks. Also, how long does the line get?

2.) I know I am going on the summer and it will be packed, but I am going on a Wednesday. Will that help me, or will it still be packed?

3.) Does anyone know any good places in CP that are good for the money food wise? I need something somewhat cheap, though.

4.) Are there any other coasters that have been down a lot lately, or anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks a ton guys, hope to see more and more of you as time goes on.

A Wednesday in July is busier than even a Saturday in May (weather permitting) but not usually as bad as a Saturday or Sunday in July. Just remember though, a Wednesday at the Point is still better than a Wednesday in the office.

As for where to eat, I'm partial to going to Fridays (its in the Breakers) for meals. Its the same as Friday's anywhere, and its got A/C. I usually reserve the in park food stands for snacking and quick bites here and there when I pass something that smells particularly good.

Otherwise, just enjoy your trip. Sorry I don't know much more about the up/down time of rides but its usually hit or miss with most of them.

Oh yeah, I will be enjoying it big time. My family went two years ago to The Point on the 4th of July and they told me that while it was crowded, they were able to ride everything they wanted too. I guess CP ride ops bust their butt to give us an enjoyable and quick ride.

1. All i know about TTD is what i read on here and what i see on the webcam. Since it has been down alot, the lines will be extremely long when it does open, especially now since it is the busiest part of the season. Get there early and hope that it is running and get a freeway. I hear they start handing them out at 2pm for dragster, someone correct me if im wrong.

2. Wednesday should be an alright day. Don't get me wrong, it will be busy, but not like a Saturday. You will get alot of walk ons in the mornings, except for MF TTD and Raptor, wait to ride Raptor til around 5 or 6pm, it gets down to a 15min wait or so.

3. Midway Market is a good value for the dollar spent.

4. TTD is the only one with the main problems of breaking down alot. MF has its issues of stacking, seat belt issue. WT has its moments of downtime, but no where near that of TTD.

Hope that helps a little, have a great trip.

1.) Dragster runs off and on. It's very hard to say which day it will be open and which it will not. Yeah, it's been experiencing alot of downtime lately, but it was open all of yesterday (except for a few hours in the evening) and appears to be open today again. And the line...well, it can range from 15 minutes to 3 hours, depending on what time you ride it and what day you visit the park.

2.) The park is pretty busy every day in July, but probably won't be as bad as a Saturday or Sunday. I went last Wednesday and the lines (except for MF - Dragster was down) were pretty decent.

3.) That Friday's resteraunt is pretty good but as for cheap places in the park, I'd say Macaroni's or the Game Day Grill. Both have really grea food in my opinion and won't completely empty your wallet.

4.) The only coaster that you would have to worry about being down is Dragster. It's really a good day/bad day type of thing with that ride. All of the others, as far as I know, are running consistently.

Have a great time when you go!

Also see the FAQ section at the top of this page. And browse the boards for a lot of great info.
