Gemini's Station

How did the station look since it was redone? Or was it redone? I havn't seen any information regarding this.

WELCOME TO THE 2004 SEASON!

Cedar Point, Absolutly Amazing!!

Gomez,

The Gemini station looked great to me! I believe that it either got a fresh coat of paint, or it was scrubbed down. The colors were vibrant and alive. As to the inside of the station, the blue train ride op now has a mic which he says "ready ready....clear" into, as well as the dude with the headset mic. The also re-painted the yellow safety line, which really doesn't matter any more, because they also installed the air gates that were rumored last year. And according to folks last year, they said that there would only be 2 sets of 2 trains, which was also correct. As of yesterday, they only had 2 sets of trains, and i dont think that there were any on the transfer track, but I could be wrong. Hope this answers your question..........

"Welcome back Gemini riders, how was that ride!?!?!" 25 years of excellence!

The last pair of trains are under the Mean Streak. I don't see those being put on the transfer track this year.

Agreed.;)
The station wasn't flattened out like it was speculated too.

I don't really know if the ride's computer autoparks the train, but if it does, it did a pretty good job. Much better than the autopark on Mine Ride, Gemini's computer doesn't seem to hinder throughput.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I heard that it was still manually parked in the station. I know some rides auto park is horrible.
Gemini is still running manually. And the crew that was running it today should be ashamed of themselves. They were running four trains and stacking them every time. Terrible, on a ride that should be running six...

I presume they will get better. Also, the gates are horrid, particularly where they have a manual access gate and have done nothing to differentiate it from the seat queues. Very sloppy.

I agree with Rideman. They were stacking with two trains which was bad considering that they were running 6 at one time efficiently.

It is the beginning of the season though, and I expect some slowdowns as the ops learn and perfect their techniques.

I also thought the manual access gate was poorly done. I saw several people get in line behind it to learn that it wasn't a gate. It was not marked nor was there paint on the ground differentiating it from any other gate.

And those trim brakes have got to go...

Trim brakes? What trim brakes? When I rode, all of the trims were off, INCLUDING the trims leading into the helix. Then at the top of the helix we slammed to a tooth-chipping stop because the station wasn't clear.

I noticed that the trims were off to. When I rode it, the stop was not bad since they actually did get the station clear.

When I rode it, not only did we get to block-stop on the safety brake, we got to sit there for five minutes.
