Gemini's 25th Anniversary

I wish I could be there... I'm too poor to afford a season pass so I can't go all the time anymore.

You could have it worse, Rob. He sent me a photo of a certain someone enjoying a cheese-on-a-stick. Now ... how to use it ... :)

Gemini is so much fun to ride.

I was riding with my family and we were in the blue train going into the final turn towards the station, we were neck and neck with the red train in a dead heat.

Then the block brakes frozze them in their tracks and my whole train cheered and laughed at their train as we passed. By the time everything both were racing again I think our train had lapped them. considerable lead, we may have lapped them.

Best ride on it ever.

Well today i went to the park to ride one ride and one ride only. i was expecting it to be closed, but to my relief i saw a train full of people crest over its hill i about screamed, then i saw that yes it in fact was racing today! I have been to the park 8 times now and have ridden Gemeni bunch of times, but this was my second lap on it while it was racing! I just figured it would be down due to weather today, it looked really bad but it was nice out and still it sprinkled lol, had alot of fun today even tho i was in the park not more then 90 minutes lol.

Happy Birthday Gemeni!

I wish some of the younger members on GTTP could have rode Gemini back in 1978. Back then, it was as big of a deal as Dragster is today. People ran to the ride first thing in the morning, and it was a stunningly big and beautiful roller coaster.

I always rode for about the last hour of the day. Six trains raced until closing, and the ride's throughput meant there was never a long wait at closing time. The excitement and energy on the platform was just amazing. Lots of people marathoned for the last hour, and riders really got into the racing aspect of the ride. The cheers and noise was almost like being at Jacob's Field after the Indians hit a home run.

Gemini was a grand slam for Cedar Point. She has given some great rides and tons of fun over the years, and I'm looking forward to lots of rides in the years ahead.

Wish I could have been there to celebrate, but I had other stuff going on. Happy b-day Gemini.

I'm just hoping to get a copy of the picture of the new cheese-on-a-stick eater autographed, so I can sell it on ebay. ;)

Last night I rode Gemini at least five times in a row. It was awsome! Blue train was winning EVERY time! It was so fun. What is with the brakes before the helix though? First time I rode it this season on monday I was kind of surprised by the brakes before the helix. It is still an awsome ride though!

120 mph in 4 seconds, 420 feet high, 20 seconds of pure thrill and terror--OH YEAH!
I was wondering the same thing CPteen. I was on the red train the a few weeks ago and the brakes let the blue train win.

Was Tuesday the only day you could sign the banners? I signed on one of the orange ones, in the base of the "2". Kind of neat.
