Did anybody else see the pics of Gemini valleyed at the final helix. Pics are on Screamscape. I know he we all fell about that site, but they got this one right anyways.

It is pretty hard to argue if they have pictures of it.

This is unexpected and near the bottom of the Rides Likely to Valley list.

I'm not sure what list you're talking about, but a quote on Tour the Point says:

Gemini requires proper weighting when it is firststarted, or the trains will fail to make it up the second hill. When thathappens, the maintenance crews need to disassemble the trains from thebottom of that hill, take them back to the platform in pieces, then reassemblethem. The process generally takes a few days. During my time working atthe park, I would usually spot a train sitting between the first and secondhills two or three times per summer. It usually happened early in the year, while the crews were still learning.

So it sounds like it's vallyed before, just not in the same spot it's in now.

The ride vallys several times a year. I have seen it vally on the first drop a few times.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Crazy Horse where is Magnum's best chance to valley at? Would it be at the bottom of the first drop?

It valley's quite often.

^^yeah Magnum would most likely valley between the first and 2nd hills. In fact I've heard it used to do it rather frequently in its early years, when a steady wind was coming off the lake.

The only time I have seen magnum valley, was quite a few years ago in the pretzel turn around. I think it blew a wheel or something. I remember that they used a cherry picker to get the people out of the train.

Gemini has a history of valleying. I also have seen them recover that ride by towing the train to the top of the next hill and letting it go for a bit. Recovery generally takes less than a full day, but the ride will be down for an entire operating day.

I had no idea. I guess I'm just never (un)lucky enough to see it.
