Here is the deal with the two queues. To begin with, the majority of guests excepting the wonderful people who post here are really damn stubborn. It goes without saying that when we open up the line for the front of our station, everyone thinks that it guarantees them the front seat. Through some horrible miscalculation, the front entrance was made too small to accomodate the lines for the front, thus creating a bottleneck effect that stops the line and forces us to send empty trains because noone is willing to A) give up their place for the front seat or B) push other people out of their way to get a seat in the middle of the train. the most effective way for us employees to preclude this disaster is to only leave the back open, forcing people to filter through the entire station to get to the front. It makes it easier for us and also gives us a better chance of sending fuller, faster trains. The only time we open up the front is if we are running 5 or 6 trains because people can't run up through the back quickly enough to keep up with our intervals. If this is the case, we have a person sitting at the front entrance with a stick screaming at everyone to "keep the line moving into the station." This position is probably the most undesirable position to do on the mighty Gemini--just ask Tek from Millennium Force who helped us out for a week and nearly had a nervous breakdown from having to yell so much. Because only four trains are in operation for the rest of the season, I doubt that front entrance will open for the rest of the year.
