Gemini rollback

I guess MF isn't the only ride having problems with the wind. Walked by Gemini this evening to find it closed, and a red train valleyed beneath the turn that has the brakes on it (the train was right behind the Frog Hopper). I could be wrong about this, but didn't the Gemini have upstop wheels last year? I noticed today that there were upstop pads on the trains, and that it was delivering a different ride than usual. I never really paid attention to if it was wheels or pads last year.

Hmmm I don't know, but Gemini has had several problems with rollbacks in the past. Perhaps they forgot the sandbags?

What is going on here!?! I need to sacrifice some KFC under my CP shrine to stop this bad luck.

It has always had the pads, but thats another odd place for it to rollback. Usually its blue train too.

I'm sure it did have up-stops last year, and if it did valley, maybe they took off the up-stop wheels so they could remove the train off the track.

You are correct Fof. Standard procedure in any park for MOST roll backs it to remove the upstops so they can lift the trains off.

Sometimes they do a pull through depending on where it is or the ride.

So basically it didn't make the midcourse is valleyed under the headchopper? That is a wierd place. All I know is that Gemini was running painfully slow on Friday night. Wind gusts coming from the East it the trains on the 1st high turnaround and killed the rest of the ride. I'll be there today (don't know why with the cruddy weather forceast) and check it out, but the train is probably already back on the transfer. The next question is was the train loaded? If it happened in the middle of the day I say it was, unless they were in the process of going from three down to two train operation.

Well, I think so. It was back up by the end of last night.

Actually Shivering Tim, it was already on a two train operation. And it did have people on it because I saw people who had been given boarding passes telling a ride op at MF that they got stuck on Gemini.

Last year, I went to the point twice, and both days, it got stuck.....this ride needs to be re-done or something...

Actually, just to clarify whether or not it has up-stops or pads, its always had just pads. I remember looking at that 2 years ago, then last year, and this year. The pads have always been on there, no wheels.

Maybe it just doesn't like you, Cp_Rider ;)

Does is amuse anyone else that Magnum opened with the same lack of upstop wheels? I mean really...what exactly was Arrow thinking?

Jerry said Magnum used to actually spark on the bunny hops when the upstop pads would come up and smack into the track. :)

An inside source told me that the people were walked off the lift, Not because of a rollback. The train was then sent empty over the lift and rolled back off of the second hill. I mean I could be wrong but it comes from a good source.

Matt2003, I thought MF rolled back Friday morning. At least that's what everone is saying in the MF threads.
