Gemini Helix

Sorry, Matt, didn't mean to come off so mean. But Gemini has had its share of problems. We started the year off with six walkdowns in one day, a roll back, and two dysfuntional lifts. It got to the point where the maintance owed me a drink every time we had a walkdown. ;o) The list just keeps contuining with that ride, but still a classic and I love it till the end.

It's okay... :) I didn't take any offense. It was a one time deal and for all I know maybe there was a problem with the helix trims on blue side because the ones on the red side hit. The truth is, I like Gemini more and more every time I visit the park. It's not so much for the awesome ride experience as for the fact that the ride is just plain fun with all the racing, handslapping, etc. Also, there always seems to be an energy in the station (maybe because of the crew) that is sometimes lacking on other rides.

I do know that maintenance has been messing around with the B side mid-course brakes. Lately they have been open at all times, no matter what the trim settings are at.

Gemini Crew '02

Gemini is still one of my (and my husband's) favorite rides at the park. We made the trip in 1978 when it first opened in 1978 when we were still dating, and we rode Gemini over and over. It hasn't lost it's thrill for us in the 24 years we've been riding it.

And the crew on Labor Day was great. We got lots of chuckles from one of the ops who was doing some schticky stuff in the spiel.

Thanks, all. We do try to have fun. There's something eletrical about having racing sides, a manual coaster, and a great crew. This year has been no exception, the crew has been very special and the ride is as classic as ever. GEMINI ROCKS!

When Gemini has its trim brakes on the helixs aren't too bad in my opinion.. But I rode it a couple times when the trim brakes were off and they were horrible...

**giggles michievously** Come on, Justin. All you had to do was that one thing for me. Well...that and the chicken dance.

Got a sweet ride Saturday morning no trims.

Didn't know you could take a helix that fast and smooth at that.

Call me crazy but I think the helix is rougher when the trims hit then when they don't hit.
