CPfan Stuck In Utah!!!!!!
It's cool when you're sitting in the very back and a lot of people have their hand up on the ride. When the train passes under there, their hands go down in succession. Haha the peeps think their hands are gonna get chopped off. :)
The drop y'all iz talkin about and the 1st are a tie cause I love that feeling like your hands are gonna get chopped!

"Where da party at?! Girls is on da way, where da BACARDI at?!!"
My favorite drop is the first, because of the steepness.

For me, it's the final banked turn, though highly illogical I always get this feeling that the train is going to fall off :D
I do to love the last helix, I am glad that Arrow designed it with that helix rather than 40+ feet of brakes, but there is one thing that bothers me a LITTLE, sometimes the hard seats make my back hurt at the bottom of the hills, but you gotta love those headrest-free cars
Recently the ride ops haven't been departing the trains at the same time, so you're not racing and you can't slap hands! It takes half the fun out of it...
My favorite drop is the one with the steel beam. I've heard tales that people with long arms sitting in the right seat of the right train have hit their hands before on the Gemini...
When I went, they weren't racing for a while then they were racing. The answer seems to be that it's really easy to set up if you try to sync the trains. (see my TR)

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
Definitely the very last helix turn. I like how it ends and your instantly in the station -- No time to pull yourself together and the ride is over. Other rides has this long breaking stretch of track and then you're slowly brought into the station. On Gemini, no waiting. In my opinon, the BEST rollercoaster ever.
The steel supports are there just for that.. support. It's a high stress area for the ride and back in the late 70's they deemed it to be the easiest way to solve stress issues.. You'll notice a few steel area's on MS too..
As far as the train's not being dispatched at the same time there are a few things to consider..
#1.. and probably the most mis-understood thing about Gemini is there is no link between the A side and the B side to synch a start. It is usually done by signals between the two operators.
#2.. the delays tend to be more guest releated than operator related.. Someone not paying attention and taking thier time to get in.. Someone with seatbelt problems..
#3.. a guest illness ANYTIME during the day will cause trains to get out of synch. and it's not as simple as just holding a red train till the blues catch up.. there are trains still out there and a c-set is the last thing the crew wants because it's a long haul out to the block and up the steps..

They raced all day yesterday, like any other day I've been there.

The first hill on Gemini, in the back seat, is still pretty sweet. Lots of air time. Last year, every time I went to the park the back car was closed. I am very happy that it has been open every trip this year.
