The blue train on Gemini wasn’t working when I was there on July 6. I didn’t think too much of it but then it wasn’t working again on July 21 when I was there.
Anybody know what’s going on? I saw on a Facebook group that it might be the lift motor for the blue side. However, it’s hard to trust much of anything you see on the Facebook group…lol.
I hope they can get it fixed soon—the ride is so much more fun with the racing element.
Thanks, everyone
I was not aware that it has been down for so long. We were there all last week and noticed it not working. We last "raced" on the blue on Father's Day. That's quite a hiatus. Since it was down all week and the trains were parked in the station (and there was no visible work being done) I assumed it had something to do with the lift.
Promoter of fog.
There was a blue train stopped at the bottom of the lift for two-ish weeks during and after July 4th. I also heard something about a lift motor. If that train has been moved that may be a sign of some type of progress.
Unfortunately a lift motor for one side of a racing coaster is probably something that may not be a priority with all of the exciting synergies currently taking place.
Maybe 2026 season passes at the lower tier parks will be bumped up to sixty-one dollars to pay for that motor.

Man that sucks that the red train is completely off. I assume that means they're giving up on getting the parts this season?? Or might there be another reason to take it off? Maybe the wheels are flattening out sitting there in the heat? I don't know. Seems like a steady dribble of turd sandwiches being delivered by the new Six Flags lately.

Man I just hope theyre not giving up on 3 train ops like permanently. Maybe they can steal one of the trains from Ride of Steel at SFoA when it closes
It would be a construction project for sure, but if they could build one station in a way where they could load/unload in the same spot, they could get nearly the same capacity with two trains as they do with three. When they are down a train, the unload stop really slows things down. I've got to assume being down a train is a "this season" kind of thing at worst but who knows anymore?
The trains from the S:ROS rides are not identical to MF. Those trains MIGHT fit on the track in terms of the wheels and brake fins and they are similar, but there were some modifications that came along for MF. I believe the seats are deeper and sloped back more and also the lap bar hydraulics are in a different spot at least for the back row of each car.

MF red train has returned to the transfer track with all 9 cars. Seems the third train should be back at some point. Hopefully soon.

Glad to see Millennium seemingly on the up and up, but based on webcams it appears that Gemini blue side is still down. Any signs of progress from anyone? I'm making my first (and likely only) trip to CP for a few days later this month and do enjoy a good race on Gemini. Just curious if there's any updates in that regard.

I know it’s probably mostly a staffing thing. But it they could only run two trains it would be nice if it were one of each so we still get the race. The coaster has a lot of slow areas and its the racing and interaction aspect that keeps it thrilling throughout.

I can't imagine that in the peak days of summer that the park can't staff one of their major roller coasters. Staffing is a bigger issue in the early and later parts of the year, and while some kids are indeed going back to college, it sounds like the blue side has been down for extended time now. I'm speculating, but I don't think this is related to staffing.

I agree…can’t just be a staffing thing…blue hasn’t run in almost a month. It does seem like there is less downtime though with only running red…it seemed to have so much downtime earlier in the summer when they were running both.
The race element is what makes the ride “work” for me…so I hope they get it back up and going!
Remember, if Gemini can run only one side (staffing, for instance) it has to be the red side because of the elevette.

Ive only seen red run when I've been at the park this year which wasn't as much as other years. Just an FYI for fluffier riders the middle of one of thos red trains has a seat with a crazy short seat belt. I had to do the walk of shame off Gemini which was an absolute shock to me. Next visit I moved towards the front and was fine.
I was up at the park yesterday and I spoke to an employee at Gemini, asking if he could share the prognosis of getting the blue train back up and running…he says they are hoping for next week. I have no idea how accurate he was being with me…but he did answer. I sort of expected “we can’t share that information” or something. Blue trains are on the lift hill and parked in the station. I can’t remember for sure but I thought when I visited in early August that the blue trains were gone completely…again, can’t remember for sure.
