I was at CP today, June 13, and I thought that Gemini seemed faster than usual. It felt as if they did not brake on the helixes at the end. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or if it was just my imagination.

It's not random at all. It depends on how much they're loading the train and how long it's taking a train to complete the course.

I haven't been to CP yet this season. But last season, provided Gemini's station hasn't been changed too much, you could tell that the brakes were off by the lights over the operator station. When they were on, the brakes were off.

Rode Gemini with my sons just after 6PM tonight. Trims were on-my kids know to look for the "Trim Brakes Are Open" lights by the dispatcher. The ride felt the same as always at that time.

If the trims were off the train would have a little more speed in the helix. Is Cedar Point running both sides of Gemini now or just one side?
Goodbye 2005 season!!!!

It depends on the crowds.

i agree with jeff's response it all has to deal with circuit time and how much of a " race" it is with us the consumer, it may also have to do with wind speed and other natural things and weight.

I got a great end of the night ride with no trims last month.
They were also only loading the front and rear of the train, no one in the middle.
