About a month before they turned the blue train around.
You think running two trains at the same time is something?
I remember when they used to run *six* trains on that ride, and the trains *never* stopped outside the station. Why, hell, they barely stopped in the station, they were moving people so fast. They were moving riders so fast on Gemini that they had to use both entrances just to get people onto the trains almost as fast as the trains could take them away. They ran the trains with such close headways that one train would be pulling into the station after the train ahead had cleared the station brakes, but before it was completely out of the station.
Of course, I also remember when they used to run Blue Streak on about a 60-second interval. I guess I'm just showing my age.
Excuse me while I go chase some meddling kids off my lawn...

Rideman, I would have loved to see six train operation on Gemini. Some of the best times I've had operating rides were trying to hit interval as many times in a row as we could, and I think I could have had such a blast operating Gemini pushing those trains out of the station. Not that the ride needs three trains on each track ever... the line practically never goes over a fifteen minute wait with four train operation.

Same here even when I was a guest I made an attempt to ride it.

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
Save The Big Dipper!
Has there ever been a six train operation on Gemini?..lol I would love to see the shortage of that line if they did that..not that it already is short most of the time but jeeze could you imagine? :)
I's sure someone on here knows when six train operation was discontinued. It was late 90s to early 2000s, I know that. Once the park added air gates in the station and seat belts to the trains, three trains per side wasn't a possibility. Arrow coasters "set-up" if all the trains stack on the ride, which forces a ride operator to run out to the safety brakes and turn a key to release the train (in Gemini's case, the third train would stop at the brake run right before the third high turn). The added safety features slowed down dispatch times too much to operate smoothly with six train operation. Which is why I'm praying that CP doesn't get the bright idea to add seat belts to Iron Dragon.... you could say goodbye to three train op forever if that happened.

I believe it was 04 or 05 when Gemini stopped running 6 trains. The 6 train operation was very impressive.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Although the seat belts have been there as long as I remember. They were definitely there when they still ran six trains.

Mine Ride once did five train operation on a single track, but when was the last time they ever needed it? Six trains on Gemini was impressive, but the length of the line rarely justifies it. The truth is that they can get away with four most of the time.

I will disagree with the comments above, Gemini is the best in the back.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
^^^ - they stopped using it because A, other changes (air-gates mainly) slowed down load times and B, the line got shorter as more rides were added.
As long as I've ridden it, its had seatbelts. And that's been since the early 90's.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Alright, for some reason I thought that the seat belts were a newer addition. The first time I visited CP was in 2001, and lots of those fine detail memories are fading. Does anyone know when Magnum had seat belts added?
