Gemini 100: Weather
Will the event be called off the day of, or Sunday because of weather. I only ask because of the forcast currently in place.

Seeing how some people have no access as of now, it' still on I say.
The Forecast Could be GREAT! The chance of rain scares some away. I hope the system will stay far enough north out of our hair. If anything there should not be any major deluge for a long time. Any rain though can ruin our day (even a 30 minute shutdown may kill us). If we can avoid it in the morning and afternoon, I like our chances at night.
I'll post a full blown report Sun Night :)

It's the wind that's the killer. If there's light drizzle but no wind Gemini will probably stay open.
A brief rain would be the perfect time to get a bite to eat.

I am ready to rock this thing!!! I've got my CP employee rain gear in case it rains-I will need to find something for my Mini Me to wear. I rode Banshee--uh-Mantis in a downpour (CM AM ERT) Ive ridden Raptor in a downpour many, many times (Halloweekends of '98 and '99 come to mind :))

actually, you are better off with heavy wind instead of a light drizzle with our photo eye system. We shut down in some VERY light rain.

It's not the rain or wind alone. It's wind with rain. That even shuts it down faster than either by itself.
