Gemini 100 - Shirts

For all the people who are in the Gemini 100, here is how the shirts could look...

http://www.experiencethepoint.com/t1.jpg - Front of shirt.

http://www.experiencethepoint.com/tback.jpg -Back of Shirt. I just put a couple of people name on the back of the shirt as a example.

The shirts will cost about $14 to $15 bucks. I need some input. How would you like to pay for the shirts? I was thinking about making a online place to buy the shirts. Also do you have any ideas about passing out the shirts? I think passing out the shirts on the June 11 is the best idea because then you will not have to pay for shipping.

If you haven't notice Dan update the Gemini 100 page with some more info on the event.

The first thing is we need to set a cut off date so we can get all of the shirts ordered with the proper names on the back. If someone decided to join after the fact then they will have to forfit on the shirts.

Andrew how much time do you need to get the shirts done. Is a month enough time? Then we could make Friday May 11th as the cut off date to have your name added to the back of the shirts.

What about payment for the shirts? This is a big issue. Any suggestions?

A month is enough time. I think Friday May 11 as the cut off is a good idea.

My suggestion on payment is to set up a date to meet in the park before or after the order goes in (up to andrew) and pay there. If for instance someone couldn't be there then andrew could set up his online paypal type arrangement. Just a suggestion to throw out there. I know many of us will be there opening day and the first full opening weekend after opening day... so that may be a good time?

Good idea Jeff, I will be there opening day. You could just pay me then. Then maybe if you don't pay me then I will setup paypal so you could pay online.

I'll live and everything, but that won't work for me since I won't be at CP until May 30. :( Andrew - if you want, you can e-mail me your address and I can send you a check. Then I'll just get my shirt the day of the event like everyone else. I'm sure we'll be able to work something out... :)

Andrew I would say Pay Pal is the best method of payment. I really like the Pay Pal idea. Let me know so I can update the site. I think its better than meeting people in the park and paying.

Then I can add a mark by their name on the site so we all know who has paid and who hasn't.

Dan setup the Pay Pal thing. When you sign up for Pay Pal make sure you sign up for the business account(because we will have over 100 dollars worth of transactions). The only down side to Pay Pal is that they charge about 33 cents per order. Just one question Dan. If you sign up for Pay Pal how will I get the money for the shirts? If you want you could just mail me the check. Also Dan feel free to take the pictures of the shirts off my site and put them on yours.

Here is the prices broken down...
$15.28 - Shirt price after sales tax
$00.33 - Transaction fee at Pay Pal
+_______
$15.71 - Grand Total

I was thinking about the cut off day and you should make the cut of day May 1. I really don't think many more people are going to "sign up". On May 1 you could have Pay Pal up on your site. Having the cut off date earlier allows people to place online orders until about mid May. Then maybe people can place orders online until May 15(that gives everybody two weeks to place there orders).

Yeah the general size is XL. Jeff $15 a shirt is alot more than yours because I put stuff on both sides. If I only put stuff on one side it would be ten dollars. $15 dollars is with sales tax and the cost of the shipping the shirts to me. Since we are only going to to get about 25 shirts I don't a big price break.

That's still way too much... even for a smaller quantity. You should have shopped around more.
