Geez...

I'm putting in my 2 cents and will probably get slammed for it since I don't post much and have only been to Cedar Point once in my life (last week) and probably won't drive the 18 hours there to go back for at least a few years. BUT.. my 2 cents is "GET OVER IT". New ride, mechanical problems... it's common sense, it's gonna happen!!!!! Be glad that you live close enough to go pretty much whenever you want (and I am not talking to those who cannot) and be happy that you have a park that has such GREAT rides. I had a blast last week and rode TTD 2 times. Like I have said before, I would have liked to have ridden it more, but the fact of life is it is broken down (for whatever reason) and they will open it when it is fixed! Griping about it or blaming Cedar Point OR comparing it to Six Flags isn't going to change that fact!!!!!!! Now I'm going to hide back under my rock! :-)
A-freakin'-men. CP has fifteen other record breakers out there, so why not enjoy those too? Don't let the breakdown of TTD stop you from going to what I believe in my heart is the best park in the entire world. I'm going there in six days, and I know I'll have a blast, TTD or no TTD. Nice little rant there, Robin.

As I said somewhere else, let's no get carried away. I don't think Wild Cat, Jr. Gemini, Disaster Transport, Iron Dragon, etc. can be considered record breakers. What I will say is there are another 60 or so rides to enjoy and if that is not satisfying there isn't much else that can be done.

Well, you could say 15 other coasters to keep you busy, with the exception of possibly 2 depending on your situation.

But, I agree with the initial post. Peopl just need to get over it. Complaining doesn't do one thing to make the situation better.

I think the disappointment is directly related to ones ability to revisit the part a second or third time. We will be out there for 2 days next week and if Dragster is still down then we will get on with our life. there is still much to do but when our next visit will be may not be for a couple of years

ps I work for a company that makes valves with a sister division in Switzerland. I pray to God the faulty valve is not ours

Disappointment is understanable. Pointing the finger and being angry is something else. For those who expected that TTD would not have problems were being way too optimistic. If you live far away and can only come once, I suggest waiting a year.

Cedar Point is more frustrated with TTD being down than we will ever be.

That is a very true statement.

I'm not sure what's worse - People whining about the ride being down, or people whining about the people who are whining about the ride being down.
right on coasterfeaky.. you took the words out off of my keyboard.

TTD=7. MF=78. Raptor 100+ Magnum. 250+ lost count.

You should really stop, it's just a big cycle. Technically, right now you two are whining about people whining about the people who are whining because TTD is down. See, just a big cycle.

Okay, here is my very calm, very rational look at this. I am kind of on both sides of this issue, because I have complained about the downtime before, but I just took a trip there yesterday, anyway, and had a great time. So I am not defending either side, but Robin, you said yourself that you got to ride it twice already. Therefore you really should not be entitled to bash the "whiners." I was as excited as anyone for TTD, and I have not had the opportunity to ride once yet. Now I can't sit here and say that you wouldn't have had the same opinion even if you hadn't ridden it, but I am just pointing out that I have noticed quite the trend on this site. People who have not gotten to ride it yet "whine" about it, and people who have ridden it bash the "whiners." I just think we need to realize that we are not all in the same boat.

What about the people whining about the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the ride being down? Or the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the ride being down? Or maybe the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the people who are whining about the people whining about the ride being down? Let's try the people who are whining.....

Okay, you get the point. Haha. Now let's get TO the point - Cedar Point, that is - and just plain have fun.

Let me just say I wasn't whining about anyone whining about anyone whining, etc. My point was everyone needs to get over it!!! it's BROKEN! LOL

And, as far as me getting to ride it 2 times, yes, you are right.. .BUT, people griping about it being down isn't getting it fixed any faster. That was my point. People complain about "what CP isn't doing for them in regard to the ride being down". Well, think about it, if CP gave "line cut" passes to everyone upset about it, the line would STILL be hours long!

Besides, the only reason I cared TTD was closed was because it made Millenium line longer and I like Millenium better. Just my opinion!! Remember.. once the kinks are ironed out, TTD will be around forever.. you have YEARS to ride it!!!!

I was hoping to find a thread that had some substantial information on it regarding the status of TTD since there haven't been any, rather than "noise" about how someone should move on...especially coming from people who have already ridden it. imo, you have made a conscious effort to create a thread that is nothing more than a complaint.

Yeah, I know for certain that the status is: Down Indefinitely. I wanted to know more about the problem & how close they are to fixing it.

no more from me on this topic.

now you all have me whining about being a non whiner thats got to ride it once ,lol
OK everybody: *clears throat, impersonating Arnold Schwartzenegger* STOP WHINING!

Topic closing in 3..2..1..
