Geauga Lake Rides on Broker Site

I hope this is the right place to post this.

WTAM radio in Cleveland reports that some of the Geauga Lake rides are listed on Intermarks Ride Groups website. It appears CF has hired them to sell the rides for them.

So, does buying all the wood from Big Dipper mean anything?

What about just buying the trains and just rebuilding using fresh wood using the same configuration? I doubt if there is more than a board, maybe 2 of the original ride left anyway.

I love how they quote some ACE schmuck as an authority who knows what Cedar Fair wants to do. :)

I noticed that the Zierer coaster is on there. Why they didn't decide to make that a part of the new kids area is beyond me. Up the coaster count by one, have a giant capacity machine for kids.

I didn't even catch that. Didn't quote him, but the way its stated they are making it seem as though whoever it is is a member of Cedar Fairs board.

Just goes to show that creative journalism isn't just the newspapers.

I read an artice about IRG being the broker about a week ago.

I dug through all the listings and found 12 rides for sale.

I have a list at the bottom of THIS page.

For some it was hard to tell, but I believe these are all from Geauga Lake.

I'm really surprised they didn't move the kiddie coaster over. Seems like it would have been a great fit.

Ok, so I missed a couple. But, then again, they may still be adding to the list.

I just don't get why they didn't put that Zierer somewhere. I really thought it would have fit well at Michigan's Adventure. It would have gone well in the new Planet snoopy. Oh well.

They have Peanuts Playgroung for the adventurous kids. They have Kiddy Kingdom for the kids who love to go in circles and make buzzing sounds. ;) Perhaps this will be something in the middle. A stepping stone from Kiddy Kingdom to Camp Snoopy.

Looking at the rides that are part of Kidworks, if you disclude the play structures, there are 7 rides. IMO, these will be the likely rides to show up for Planet Snoopy. 2 of them (Half Pint Railway and Hot Air Express) were already seen at the park anyway.

The other 5 are: Dippy Divers; Mad Mad Whirl; Road Rally; Rocket Relay; and Tree Hopper

And considering that the pic said 7 rides and much more, maybe one or more of the play structures will come along with too.

Since these remaining 6 rides arn't yet listed, perhaps they've already been sold, or they are going to other CF Parks. All speculation I know.

I've heard Americana or El-Dorado will be coming to Kings Island and will be located across from Vortex on the old Flight Commander pad.
