I talked to a former employee today who said he worked in foods at the Wharf cafe a couple decades ago when he was a teenager... I believe that since has become a catering building for Lakeside Catering. The park has such a colorful history!

yeah, can remember the days i used to work there when i was a teenager. the raging wolf bobs was my favorite ride to work. heck, any rollercoaster was cool to work.

and just to add to the memories: the big dipper when the controls were manual.

If your not having fun, what are you having? Have Fun !!!

I'm a wee bit younger than most at 22, but I do remember my first roller coaster ride on the Double Loop and how much I hated it. My mom made me go on it again the next year and I loved it. I also remember eating lunch in the picnic area in the trees near the loop. The rocket ships was also one of my favorite rides. I'm not sure if I remember the Little Dipper or if I am just thinking of looking at the stars when I was a kid. In my opinion, I liked it a lot better back then.

The old arcade has a lot of fond memories for me. In it were a bunch of games, food stands, the dodgems AND a dark ride. I remember that the ride ended with the cars heading towards a picture of a truck with its headlights flashing and horn going off and at the last second the car made a sharp right and out a door back to the station. I have been looking for pictures of that ride so if anyone has them I would sure love to see it again.

I remeber Geauga Lake in the funtime days.
The first time I went, I was 6. My very first roller coaster was the Big Dipper, which I have NO recollection of riding at all. And I also remeber riding the Double Loop at night, and loving it.

Of course I remember the rotor, which I loved, and my mom hated. She got so scared that the op had to stop the ride halfway through the cycle and we got one an a half rides.

I also remeber riding the rotor at both geauga lake and cedar point. I wish one of them still had it. On a trip I took a year or two ago, there was a park I was at that had one. It was fun to be on one again after so long.

I worked at GL in 83.... I loved to work the remote control cars that were over by the old Corkscrew. The Monorail used to go over the top of them too. Every so often you would have to go out and clean the track and you could be within feet of the trains as they went by on their runs.

I also remember the old Rocket Ships. They used to be down by the lake. They were throwbacks to the 1930's. Just kind of nastalgic.

The Wave Pool - It only did one big wave every 15 mins. They were big enough to surf in though.

The Sky Ride that went over part of the lake and then back. More like a Ski lift really.

The Fireworks show from Sea World... When the last big one went off you knew it was 10:00 and you could close up your booth.

The After Hour Employee Parties....

Please remain seated until the ride comes to a complete AND final stop.....
