^However every "normal" guest likes them. So they don't have to pay for a locker for every ride to put the ridiculous amount of crap they carry in them.
Yes, but GK will be a floorless coaster. Most people who wear flip flops will want, and have to by ride policy, to remove them and ride barefoot. (which I enjoy doing). It would be kind of messy to just leave shoes all over the platform without a bin to contain them, not to mention they might fall off the edge and be more of a delay then it would be if they had bins. At rides with bins, most people just toss their stuff in them, then hop in the seats quickly.

I don't think you've been on a ride with bins. There is nothing which happens quickly where bins are involved.

I feel that the way Wicked Twister handles the "bins" (or cubby's in this case) is relatively fast. They're close to the actual train and extend along the length of the entire ride, making for a quick drop off and pick up of your flops, bags, etc.
If they do have bins, I hope the ride operators aren't as pushy as they are on Raptor. I mean I learned in the past that they have to move that way to hit Interval, but I still feel like if I don't get back to my seat in time, the ride operators will close the restraint. I guess it's a nervous feeling I have.
Wicked Twister's bin situation only works because it's one train, and the bins are far enough away from it. If they do it on Gatekeeper, it will be a disaster, because people exit the same side they load on and there are multiple trains. It's a disaster at Dollywood.

Hence my earlier statement that bins suck.
GK has a projected per-hour capacity in excess of Diamondback. I've ridden DB hundreds of times. It's one of the fastest coasters in terms of how little time a given train spends in the station.
There's no way in hades a coaster like GK will load faster than DB, considering the added complexity of the restraints (buckle) and the fact it will take certain people longer to boost themselves into the seat.
Bins will only serve to further reduce capacity.
Even worse at Hershey for Skyrush. Spinning bins at the turnstiles creates a major traffic jam when the turnstiles open. Trying to divert back to the subject, Maybe the station music could be like the Gieco guys singing...."hurry and put your stuff in the bins and move quickly and safely to your seats". in a happy little ditty!
Sorry for the mess. Signature under construction.

I think you mean: "...to put the ridiculous amount of crap the park tries to sell to them."
Once the park starts providing an easy, free method of storing souvenirs during the day, then all the bitching about guests' paraphernalia won't sound so silly and misplaced.
