GateKeeper plaza and new main entrance

Here is some new, or in some cases already known information on the main entrance and plaza near GateKeeper's station.

Love that entrance plaza. Didn't realize there was a parking lot on both sides of the ride.

I'm assuming C & D are mistakenly reversed?

The new entrance looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it in person.

Still not sold on the logo obelisk, but I'll wait to see it in person. Be nice if it was some sort of a fountain, too.

I think everything looks phenomenal. I've never been this excited for a new ride.

They removed the picnic ares

Looks amazing, love all the trees and raised seating. Two things, I'd still like to see a fountain and hopefully the entrance plaza and Celebration Plaza will be pulled together in the next year or two. You have the updated entrance plaza, then the outdated midway then the updated Iron Dragon area. I'm not at all complaining, the whole thing looks amazing!

I hope they are planning a new picnic area! Our group ate there all the time!!!Can't wait to see all of the changes in person!!!

They haven't removed all of the picnic areas. One was removed and one was reduced in size (if memory serves).

I believe there is a path going around the diving loop to the picnic area.

Where is the entrance to GateKeeper going to start?

Dj, I know they removed one and I believe they removed another. But you could be right about the size reduction because when I was there one was half-way demolished. So maybe they didn't demolish the rest of it and they are keeping the other half.

Talking about making a statement ! Wow absolutely breathtaking. I keep saying it but I cant wait til the final product is finished so I can take all this in for myself. Kudos to Matt O. and his team for taking the time to come up with something that will be memorable for years to come. Very encouraging for future projects later on down the road.

Very nice. Can't wait to see it from both ground level and blurring by. it's a ways off, but hopefully opening day weather will be better than closing weather of last year.

Would be neat to have a mounted live web camera (not still shots) on the lead tower as the train rolls sideways into it.

Looks very nice! Hopefully they move the camera guys out front so people can get a picture in front of the entrance. The gate almost looks too nice for an amusement park.
