Gatekeeper Down

At the park right now, Gatekeeper is closed and there is a crane extended to the top of the lift hill.

Everybody panic!

Dont worry. They're just taking it down and replacing it with valravn

I vaguely remember seeing something like this while at the park last year. i think it was up in a day or two wasn't it?

I hear tell of a broken sprocket for the lift chain.. That would explain why there is once again a crane at GateKeeper's lift hill.

Hopefully she does not make a habit of this.

This seems to be a yearly occurrence around this time.

Yep, it was just a bit earlier in August last year.

Wouldn't happen if Intamin built Gatekeeper. ( sarcasm )

That would make sense. The crane was located right in that spot.

Other than GK being down, great day at the park. Even got rerides on TTD!

Maybe they're planning on enclosing the ride.

Was there yesterday myself- I took a couple pics with plans on posting them here to see if anyone would have an idea of what was being replaced but, looks like the question is answered before I even asked.

Apparently a guest heard a voice say 'Zuul.' To prevent any further incident from happening they shut down the ride to keep the Keymaster at bay.

I get it. I mean, I wouldn't want the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man come and destroy the park!

Was here tonight and Gatekeeper wasn't running. What's going on?

Not sure what your problem is, this thread is a bunch of sarcastic jokes. I am asking if anybody seriously has an idea.

topthrilldragster4lyf had a pretty good answer in the fourth post. operative_me quoted that response later and confirmed that the location of the crane was consistent.
