Gate Times?

I was just looking at the schedule and I noticed that in May the gates open to the public when the park opens. In June, on weekdays and Sunday the gates open at 9:30, and on Saturdays the gates open at 9. When did this change? Last year didn't the gates and park open at the same time all year long? Also, does anybody know why does the time fluctuates between 9:00 and 9:30? I just hope they keep the public away from riding WT and MF during JCC time in the mornings.

Joe Cool members will probably have to get a wrist band on entry to the park to get on MF & WT. At least that's how they've done it in the past....

Hopefully they'll let the JCC/Resort people in at 9:00 on the 9:30 gate days and 8:30 on the 9:00 gate days. Its not a good scene when the GP is let in and are told they can't ride while they watch other people running past them into the lines. Its not fair to the GP, its not fair to the employees, and I suspect they have figured out how to implement this somewhat smoother than they did last year.

As for your question about the gates, I think it started last year, possibly with Dan Keller becoming the new GM. On typically non-busy days (May and June weekdays mostly) the gates and rides both open at 10. On most mid-summer weekdays and Sundays, the gates will open at 9:30 and on Saturdays, they well open at 9AM. It was very confusing at first, but I suggest checking the website to be sure of what the gate opening time is on the day of your visit(s).

OK thanks. And there will be many visits. 38 of them last year. Plenty more to occur this season. Matt, you working Magnum again this year? I rode it 124x last year, and was wondering if I would be seeing some familiar faces this year.

Hey - I tried to e-mail you, but I guess your info must have an old address or something. Anyway, I'm not working at CP again this year and right about now I am really wishing I was going back. Unfortunately, I need to get co-op credit for doing a "real" job this summer so I can graduate college at some point. I'm going to miss working there. It was so much fun. I made so many friends and have so many great memories. Gina, who was on the crew from about July on last year is ATL this year and Erin the ATL from Mean Streak will be the TL. Also, one of the Mikes from Mantis will be over on Magnum this year. There might be more returnees on the crew, but I don't really remember. Also, Shari (who was ATL for part of last year) is on Gemini as ATL and Dustin is TL of Swings/Swans I think.

I'll be there this weekend though to visit! Have a great summer!
