Looking at the off season pictures, it looks as though the park is going to be hard to walk through because of the placement of the games. Is this going to be a problem or is there more room than it looks?
Also, was some of the landscaping removed, if it was shame on CP.

To me it doesn't look like the park is going to be any harder to walk through. The main midway looks to be exactly the same as it was before. The walk-ways up to the games area from the main midway may be a little bit more narrow, but there never really was heavy traffic flow going through there.
As for the landscaping, I am amazed at the number of trees that seem to have survived unscathed. There might be a little less grass in the new area, but the trees look untouched.
"Hooray"! "Applause" for CP.

It sounds to me Trent that you prefer a tree over a thrill ride. I think all the landscaping sarcafices proved good for Cedar Point. Plus if you look on maXairs webcam you notice they are making a nice landscaping display right next to the ride.
You have to have atmosphere. Otherwise, it's just a parking lot with coasters.
Good point atmoshere is a big part of a park maybe what I was trying to say was if it was between a few trees and maXair I don't think the choice is that difficult. Plus as many trees that Cedar Point had to take down to make room for rides the park still has a very nice atmoshere.
That's the difference between most coaster ethusiast and park ethusiast. The coaster ethusiast are all about the rides and how they feel. The park ethusiast are worried about how well a new ride will fit in. Did they take to many trees out? Is the atmosphere going to be the same?

Only at a Six Flags park would you find a coaster dropped right into a vacant parking lot.
Exactly Walt and Gomez. A park has to have a good atmosphere or else there is no park at all. Half of the fun of going to Cedar Point is just being there in the amusement park environment. So many things go into making an amusement park an amusement park such as obviously the rides, the games, landscaping, the people, and the fun loud noises such as music and people talking.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
You have to look at it this way. They cleared a lot of trees in 2000 and moved the Giant Wheel over where Wicked Twister is now. And the result was bringing us the best damn coaster in the park with Millennium Force. That's my opinion up there. And they managed to keep a lot of trees that are still standing by Millennium Force.
Am I the only one that thinks CP should have at least one Cedar tree on the property! Make it a shrine to the CP history or something!!
Disclaimer:This claim is made on the fact that I am unaware of any cedar trees that are on the property. Feel free to correct me.
I guess I'm a park ethusiast. I like everything about Cedar Point, except paying $4 for a Pepsi, but that's another topic.

One area that looks to be a potential bottleneck from looking at webcams and the park map is between maXair and the row of games heading toward Disaster Transport. I guess there is probably more room there than it looks like, but if people chose that spot to stand and watch maXair, it could be kind of like the Dragster midway by the start of the launch (although probably not as bad).

Walt, Do you mean something like this? ;)
The reason why I despise Six Flags. This ride pulled it off. Seeing the lines still there... Sad
However, Cedar Point can't say much either.

As you can see clearly in this picture, Avalanche Run was in part of a parking lot too.

Coaster Fanatic Since 2003
Here's another Cedar Fair example if you look at that turnaround. They still park cars out there, too.
