Does this park offer state of the art game rooms? Also do they have video games from the 80s such as Pacman,Space Invaders,DonkeyKong, ect.? I love to visit places that have these games because it brings back childhood memories of going to the arcade at the local mall. The thrill of stepping back to the video game nostalgia when these types of games were so popular. If you are in your middle to late 20s than you know what I am talking about.
I don't know about CP, but Disney Quest in Chicago has all of those games. The place is a little pricey, but there are some cool things. They have a build you own coaster simulator that is kind of fun. You design a coaster on computer, then ride it in a simulator. That said, it will never be a Cedar Point or Great America. I don't think you can re-create the thrill of riding Raptor or Millenium Force for real. Sorry, I got off topic.
Inside the Coliseum you will find many video games from the early 80's, including Donkey Kong, Missle Command, and numerous others. They are in the back section.
In the Town Hall Museum in Frontier Town, you will find vintage pinball machines.

CP every year, 1974-1999.
Just don't look for any of the new "ultra-violent" type of games. CP removed them last year. Or so I heard.

The vintage pinball machines are also in the Coliseum building. Check the gallery of this site in its Miscellaneous section.

"Resident Evil" and "House of the Dead" (the two zombie games) were still in the Main Arcade as of October of last year.
* Plus I think the VR games have Duke Nukem on them.

Nothing like a game of Gorf or Wizard of Wor about mid-afternoon at the Point. :)
Chitown - if you're talking STATE of the art, no. I'm assuming your talking virtual reality simulators, gyro machines, etc? Only place I've seen those is at Disneyland and Dave n' Busters(?)
The VR has Duke Nukem 3d on them, I've played it a few times, they used to have Rise of the Triad if I remember correctly. A little outdated in graphics, I would hope they would get like Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 on the VR machine (ut is better). I love the pinball, and missile command, I'm glad they still have them.

Its pretty sad to say, but the whole reason I take two days at CP is not because of the coasters. Its the arcade games, CP is known QUITE well in the arcade collectors circle for having some of the best vintage stuff. Like the Hercules Pinball machine, which is about 5 feet wide with a cue ball instead of a ball bearing to hit. Tons of classic games, I collect classic games and have 5 myself, and would love to get a hold of some of the ones they have.

That VR game is a rip off. 5 bucks for like a few minutes of waste of money. The main arcade has a great selection of games to pick from. I tried using that hercules pin ball game and it ate my money twice...
The only good modern games are Vertical Reality and of course the "Cow Milking Tournement" (Yes, you milk a animatronic cow). Both are very rare and would make a nice addition to the Cedar Point game collection.
There is a game where you milk a cow? O.K. Now I have heard it all. The amazing thing is the people who think and design these games are probably making good money. "I must be in the wrong line of work!!!!!"
Thanks for the info people, even though the coasters are my first priority I will also enjoy playing the games.
yea here in michigan in a mall called great lakes crossing(in aubren hills)the have a game works arcade, they have a cow milking game.
im losing controll!!!!! im losing controll!!!!!
I like to watch groups of people "electrocute" themselves on the Addams Family Uncle Fester game; where you hold onto the game and low jolts of electricity are sent hurtling through your (and anyone touching you) body. The more you can endure, the more points you rack up. I've seen two of these at the point: one in the Coliseum and the other in Frontier Town.
Personally, I think I'll stick to skee ball. :)

Oh yes, the Uncle Fester game. Last year Dan, and myself stepped up to the challenge of that game and survived the whole thing. :)

How much pain is actually involved in that thing?

There really is no pain involved when you play that game. The handles that you hold onto "vibrate". They start off at a slow speed, and then eventually work up to a high speed which at that point it might give you the sensation that electricity is actually going through your hands, and arms. I was amazed with the feeling in my arms after the game. They were tingling for about 15 minutes after I played it.
