Game Day Grille - a great place to eat

Coaster Trav's avatar

I just wanted to comment on what a great place to eat and cool down during the day. I know this opened in 2004, but I never got a chance to eat there until this past Friday and wanted to mention a few things.

  • It has a very nice atmosphere.
  • Many flat screen TV's to get caught up on the lastest sports news. Including the NFL network.
  • They kept it really cool in there, helps recharge the soul!
  • Free refills on soda, but not on beer.
  • The hostess and waitress were very pleasant and courteous.

I could not find any other posts on this, but anyhow we enjoyed our time there and I am glad we decided to take a gamble on it. We had the "Sacrifice", a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. I highly recommend this place and will go back again even though this was one experience. Nice job to the Cedar Point employees and mgmt!

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

Yeah...when I went two weeks ago, I went there for lunch both days. The only thing I don't like are the chips you get instead of fries with the hamburger.

I can't say anything about it personally, but I know my dad went in there and had a few drinks while I waited/rode Raptor. He said the place was nice, good way to watch sports, and "the waitresses were cute". I think that means he liked it.

I liked the menu better when it was the Silver Dollar. And when I'm at parks, I don't need to watch sports. That's like watching strippers in a casino...okay, bad example.

Plus nothing beats sitting by the back window and watching Raptor run through its course as you eat. :)

Cedar Point rocks my socks.

Promoter of fog.

I love this place and how they redecorated it. I wish they could make the bathrooms a little larger though!

Does anyone know the name of a sit down restraunt that has a 50/60's style? I know it's not the one by Corkscrew (the one w/ the cars outside).

I went there in 2003 and thought it was neat cause they would all dance around the place when this certain song played.
Our waiter was kind of...weird. His "costume" was Pink Fairy Wings"
the food was really good too.

Coasters has the cars and is by Corkscrew, but doesn't have table waiters as Johnny Rockets does, but it's not by Corkscrew and does not have cars in front of it.

Yeah, I'm saying it's NOT the one by Corkscrew w/ the cars infront of it (one place)

I think it was near the fronter part of the park, maybe by WT?

Didn't Coasters once have a live show in front of it?

I thought I read something about a "Coasters Plaza?"

Yes, they had a small performing band of five or six performers, but at the moment the name escapes me...

Hey everyone, Game Day Grille is one of my favorite places to eat at the point too. They have the best lobster bisque I have ever had. But I missed the fried pickles this year. Did I overlook them on the menu? Or do they no longer have them? Anyone know?

Season Pass Girl

Next trip July 7-9 for sister's 21st birthday. So looking forward to it.

As far as I know they still have the Lobster Bisque and I agree it is delicious. I at there once and I am looking forward to go back. It is my second favorite place to eat at the park next to Johnny Rockets.
