The Bayern Kurve was one of my favorite rides in the 70's. Basically it was a circular track, steeply banked, inclined so it was basically a hill, the circle being about the same size as your typical circle ride like Calypso or Schwabinchen (is it still at CP?). There was a train in which you sat one behind the other. The train started out level and then reclined to match the track bank as the ride got going. It seemed to go very quickly and the banking plus the hill led to some pretty good G's.

Thank you most kindly Harley! I have only lived in Ohio for 8 years and never seen that ride before.

Bayern Kurve at Kennywood is my favorite circular ride- hands down. The thing moves so fast its ridiculous. I remember CP's well and I really miss it. I always wondered why they got rid of it rather than the Schwabinchen (since at the time they had the Trabant as well). I heard it was pretty high maintenance, and I know that Kennywood does an excellent job in that department. Love the horn that blasts when the ride hits full speed!

I think a Top Spin would be an okay addition, as long as it doesn't have those darn water jets. I don't need to get soaked on a flat ride. Also, a Top Scan would be very cool as I have never ridden one and it would be a "first-of-its-kind" in Ohio. A Huss Frisbee would also do nicely!

Cp needs to step up with more flat rides. CP used to be the spin & puke kings in the 70's. But no more. I went to SFGA two weeks ago and it is HUSS heaven! I've never seen that many in one park.
As for what I'd like to see at CP. A Fly Away or Top Spin would be my top picks.

Tohot...NEWS FLASH...Your married to someone who rode Bayerns Kurve over 100 times! LOL. I know working different hours don't help. Love ya anyway!
