Future Coasters

I was wondering if we can expect to see a 4th dimensional like X at CP anytime soon (after 2003 obvisiously). Also, has anyone here rode it before and if they have is it good?
I personally don't think we will EVER see another 4d coaster. Actually we MIGHT see two or three more mainly in Six Flags parks. But I doubt at Cedar Point!
I have not ridden it but I have talked to a couple of people who have and they didn't have anything bad to say about it. Well, one person complained it was too short for the wait but what did he expect.

Will CP get it? I guess if all of the problems with it have been worked out CP COULD get it but so could anyone else for that matter. I don't know that it would be high on my wish list though.

I think a good woodie twister would be topping my wish list for the near future.

Brett, why do you doubt that CP will get one. Also,
how about a flyer. I rode X-flight at WoA and thought that it would be great if CP built a "for real" version of that ride.
Once the 4-D is proven reliable and has decent capacity, I see CP getting one...the same thing with the flyers...they must have decent throughput. Since Arrow was acquired by S&S (thankfully) perhaps we could see some more 4-D's...the only problem is that they have a huge price tag.

I still want another woodie.

I would really like to see another B&M, Any kind would be nice except a stand up. But, Really...any kind of coaster that CP puts in will be great. I want a Classic type of coaster though, That has multiple elements and some ride time.

I really want to see a flyer in a couple of years at the point. Nice big B&M creation, not necessarily the biggest or whatever, but one that will forever hold its place among the best in its class, like Raptor (ok except for Playa ;) )

CP usually does one of two things: Gets a coaster that's the first of it's kind anywhere in the world, (hypercoaster, gigacoaster). Or…., "lets" some other park build a first of it's kind ride (suspended, stand-up, launched...etc.), make sure all the kinks are out of it, and then "evolve" it into a record-breaker and build it at our park. For example, Raptor, Mantis, Wicked Twister, and “Dragster”. It seems like the only coasters that CP builds that are the first of its kind anywhere on earth are the ones that are height record-breakers. It doesn't seem like we're gonna see one taller than "Dragster" for a LLOOONG time, so the next few coasters will probably be majorly enhanced versions of a flyer, floorless, or mega-looper. Or maybe/hopefully a massive woodie. But who knows, maybe CP will catch us all off guard and build some first of it's kind coaster that none of us have ever seen before. That would be pretty sweet.

I would have to agree about a wanting a new B&M or a giant woodie. But I know anything they build will be good.
Dan:Would another woodie with tube steel tracking (gemini) in a twister format be a possible new ride some day.How do you CP'ers like Gemini. I think a twister with diveing turns and helixes would be smooth fast fun:)

I love Gemini, it's great fun. Always a short wait because of the great capacity.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

I don't want a BIG woodie (that doesn't sound right), but I want a GOOD woodie. The two don't necessarily go hand in hand.

Most people's top ten woodies lists don't included most of the biggest, fastest wood coasters.

Gemini is great. Partly due to nostalgia---it was the highlight of my trips as a kid---and partly due to the social nature of the ride. The energy in the trains and on the platform is always great, crew and guests.

Edit: as one example of a not-tall-but-great woodie, see Ghostrider.

I love Gemini as well. It has always been a great ride and a good place to go when the other queues are full.
