I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible to construct a coaster that goes around Cp on the coastline? Not in the water, but right on the edge? They are running out of room and in a few years will not have any land left, unless they kill the parking lot.
They are not running out of space!!! Of course it would be possible, but its unlikly they would do it. (This post should be in the general threads, not the MF threads)

Actually they have plenty of room left. Check out the area 51 thread and you can see a satellite picture of the park's property.
I was thinking along the lines of a new Arrowbatic coaster from Arrow!

I will say this: CP is approaching the point where the addition of a coaster on the current park boundry will sacrifice park atmosphere.
Some how I don't think they will cross that line in the near future. Lots of people would be upset I think. Talk about ubstuctuing(sp?) a beautiful view!

The guys at CP are pros and have people decide when they are running out of room. They know what they are doing. Tbey arent running out of room. When they are begining to run out of room, they will then probably extend into the parking lot.

Cedar Point and any good amusment park tries to go out of it's way to make you think they have no more room. This might be confusing but think about it this way. A barren looking park looks bad. If you wnt to Hersheypark when they first opened Midway America and the only ride was Wildcat the area did not look that good. Sure they mowed the grass etc. but it still looked bad. Now with the addition of the kiddie rides, Wild Mouse and Lighting Racer the whole area looks much better. So what I'm trying to say is that it looks like there is not alot of room left at CP becuase that's what makes the park look good. Go ahead and look at the pics at Terra Server and then come back and still say that they have a space problem.
Good point!

Has anyone noticed how old that pic is on Terra Server? It's not a new pic! It's dated March 15 1995. I'm not saying they are running out of room but there is stuff missing from that pic.
Mantis and Millennium Force. That's it! Nothing else!
Power Tower and Woodstock Express

Mantis is visible because the left picture is from march 31, 1997 while the rest of the park is from march 15, 1995
Cedar Point won't run out of room that quick. They are smart and know how to use the land. I think that the proposed coaster that went along the coastline would, like Bill said, kill the atmosphere and the spaciness (if that is a word which probably it isn't) that the guests feel.
Just my two cents!

what about removing camper village
"look at the gum on the wall"
I say they remove the "bone yard" and extend the street along the edge of the "bone yard" and expand CP in there.
What good is the "bone yard" anyway?

Coasterguy... getting rid of Camper Village would make more than a few people upset. I for one can vouche. It's not the most loxorious place but it is cheap and VERY excesible(sp?) to the park.

Not to mention the big $$ involved in Camper Village. The village makes at least 1 million dollars from people staying there each season.
