Future Attractions

I know I'll get ripped for starting a thread about 2008 and beyond when we're not even into the '07 season, but what do you guys think CP is going to add in the next, say, 5 years. I think we might see some more demolition and ride replacements. For example, I could see rides like WildCat, Demon Drop (duh), DT, and the Mine Train getting plowed over for more modern attractions. What do you guys think?

I dont think we will see CCMR plowed over for quite some time, its a really good family coaster for younger kids that arent quite ready for MF or TTD.

Im thinking a water ride, they have enough coasters for now, and a water ride hasnt been added since God knows when. Probably a water coaster, that would be sweet to have. Where they would put it?
I have an idea. I think that something should be done with the parking lot. They have all of that land there out of the causway. they could scrap the first 8 letters of the parking lot and move it. Then have a monorail run up along the road. Yes, it would be costly, but it would be worth it. This all leads out to development in almost the whole parking lot. Then move the dorms and they could buy some of those docks and there you go. You have your next parking lot. Which all leads out to, lots more space to expand!

i dont think we will see the disney monorail at cedar point for a long time. A water ride would be a good idea though.

im a freak for cp

I think that we're going to see a new indoor coaster/dark ride replace DT. Or, I think that they might put a water coaster in place of CCMR. I too think that CCMR is great for kids in between the kiddie rides to the thrill rides, but it seems like it has a really low capacity, and its on a big piece of land.

I agree that CCMR wont be plowed for many many years. A water ride would be good since they havent gotten a new one since 93 (Snake River Falls).

R.I.P. MrScott... You're greatly missed!!

I understand you're guys' points, but you never know. I think that removal of CCMR makes as much sense as Cedar Point taking down WWL. Neither of the rides are big draws for the park, and they both sit on huge plots of land. However, I understand that some of you think that CCMR is a classic ride. BTW, wasn't it the parks first steel coaster? *** Edited 2/28/2007 4:05:50 AM UTC by Cameron200***

Then why start it?

I think it's to soon to speculate.
