Further Construction

I remember hearing in the past about more hotels being built on the point near the Breakers Express. In fact I thought they said a couple more would be built in the near future. Does anyone know anything about this?

That link only refers to the expansion of Lighthouse Point. Breakers Express is not "on" the point, but before the causeway.

The article, or whatever it was I remember reading, said several like-size hotels would be built... ???

There were plans to expand Breakers Express a couple of years ago but they were put on hold. I don't think it would have been a separate hotel, just adding on to what is there.

I think the original plan called for the pool area to be surrounded on all sides by hotel wings.

It could still happen if the economy picks up again.
