I love the fact you can request songs (if the line is long enough) in the Raptor line and your close enough to the DJ.. that rules :)
After seeing the people doing the wave and throwing a beach ball around in Maverick's queue, I think it is clear that there really should be something more to do while waiting. I'm not sure what exactly, but some kind of interaction with the guest would go a long way when the lines go above an hour.

^Go to a Florida Park and you will know what needs to be done. Intricately themed (small, so you get a change of scenery every 10-15 min) rooms with TVs and other distractions is the best way to make a line seem short.
What you said Touchdown reminds me of waiting in line for Disaster Transport. It's cool that they haven't changed the inside of the building since Avalanche Run. I feel so young when I go on that ride.
HaHa. It's amazing the number of times that I've been in line for MF and I have never seen that dancing guy! Hey it's not like I'm missing out or anything, because I see enough strange folks in those lines........
Speaking of strange things to do in line...

I would just play this song in every lines queue at Cedar Point at least once.

I thoroughly enjoy....nothing offensive either there people. I would dance my way through the lines. In fact play that song in the queues for CP rides and you would end up with funny videos of me in 2008 on youtube probably.
hehe my buddy and i started doing our "handshake dance" to the pirates of the carribbean song they play in the maverick line and people wanted to learn it :)
So stoked for 2010 :]

I'm not sure if this is true or not but i heard a story about the guy singing in Millennium Force's line listening to his cd player and some lady had enough of his singing then she took the guys cd player an threw it on the ground an broke it and people were clapping about it.
2007 trips=39..08 trips=47..09 trips=79
maverick rides=143
dragster rollbacks=27
Mean... but I would have joined in with the clapping as well.

SOME people leave their brain at home when it comes to the line.
But if your not a butt hole then I assure you the line will be better for you and everyone else. Just have fun and take the time as it is. Converse with strangers, but just don't try and rain on other peoples parade.
I myself do this in line which seems to annoy the heck out of 98% of people.
Instead of "hugging" the person in front of me and breathing down someones neck in 92 degree weather. I will quite often leave several feet of space in between our group and the group behind us. We like to not feel crammed in line, and also we do believe plenty of germs are passed around in line.
Some people have tried to actually cut in front of us.
I just want them people to know that weather or not I stand 1 inch or 3 feet from the next couple in line, you and I will both board a coaster at the exact same time as if I stood hugging the person.
Eh. It's fun if people do a weird dance or sing along for a bit.
However, if you're standing in line for an hour next to someone who won't stop yelling and dancing around next to it gets to be obnoxious pretty quickly...
(Not that throwing their CD player on the ground is a good thing either. :( )
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
Personally, if I know the song, I sing and dance to it. So I sing and dance along to like every other song or every few songs.
So stoked for 2010 :]

Ok, I have a question about the guy who always dances in line for MF. Does he ever ride any other rides?? I have never seen him anywhere else in the park besides the MF.

That's one of my biggest pet peeves. If I don't know you, then I don't want you in my personal space. Backoff a few feet. My one exception was last year in line for Maverick....it was coming a monsoon and everyone was jam packed in the station to avoid getting drenched outside. Ironically, that was the most fun I've ever had in line.
People also do the same thing in bumper-to-bumper traffic. If there is a jam and we are moving at a stop-and-go pace, there is no reason to ride my bumper. I actually had an idiot pass me on the shoulder because I didn't pull up quick enough. He made it to the next exit a whole second before me.

I was in line for MF this past summer and this guy, along with his friends, was very loud got 3/4 of the line to get into the songs. He would stand up on the rails and tell everybody to clap, start the wave, jump up and down. It was probably the best time I've ever had in a line for a ride. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time because the guy was a great character. The time also went by very, very fast. They should hire him as an entertainer to get people in line to have fun. haha
