Funniest Factoid?

While in line for Dragster i noticed a sign that said"It is required for a Dragster Driver to wear a helmet. On TopThrill Dragster riders will feel the wind blow through their hair." Does anyone think this is realy korny or what?!

yes. especially if, like my boyfriend, you HAVE NO HAIR!! hehehe

although, my On-ride photo from Dragster has my hair blowing STRIAGHT UP in the brake-run picture...so, funny or not, the factoid is at LEAST accurate!

I think they should change the one that says Dragster can carry 16 passengers. Obviously since they've added 2 new seats, this is wrong

Not to mention the one that states that the trains have 60 wheels when they actually have 72.

I can't see dragster getting 2 million riders in a season. MF has yet to get 2 million and it has a higher actual operating capacity.

The operating capacity shouldn't matter too much. They just have to run the ride longer after closing to empty the line.

Of course, the downtime this year cut into how many people will ride, but the ride also intimidates a lot of people. I think it will take awhile until the non-riders work up enough courage, which they will after their riding friends tell them what a fun ride it is.

Again, my favorite fact is that up until about 1 month ago the small flat ride acrsoss the midway, Super Himilaya, had more riders than Dragster.

I actually had a great chat with one of the ride op's of Top Thrill Dragster. She said to me "...Yeh workin up your courage for when we open it later today?" Which it opened at 2...rode...SWEET..

Anyways, it does seem that the factoids are really inaccurate....who cares...its still a great ride no matter how many wheels or capacity it SAYS it has...hehe

actually mf does not have a better operating capacity then dragster(providing dragster is working). Dragster can launch 36 people every 1:40-2:00 MF can ride 36 people every 2:20-2:40 Dragster has better capacity.

The fastest possible launch intervel for TTD is 58 seconds. That is a capacity of 1117 PPH.

MF has a dispatch intervel of 1:40. That is a capacity of 1296 PPH.(1600PPH must have been pulled out of a hat)

These are very close to actual numbers, not guesses.

I thought people were saying a few weeks ago that trains were launching every 45 seconds? Was i just reading wrong, or was i right? A 15 second difference really increases the riders per hour.

And if so, what is the average time between launches, not just the fastest?

I was timing ttd about a week ago and I got a 45 second interval in only happened once though, the rest where all in the high 50's low minutes.
