Fun Patrol

I've heard about the Fun Patrol people, about how they sometimes randomly give out line skippies, or give cookies to crying children. I also heard about these things called Associate Thank You cards, that they give out. Does anyone know anything about any of these things?

No, it's legit. I've seen them around a lot. Not sure exactly what they do, so I'd be interested in finding out more information about them also.

We got VIP passes to Luminosity a few weeks ago. Reserved table seats in front of Good Time Theater with complementary soft drinks and chips.

Ya, lots of good stuff at Tweetups, and one of the waitresses at Perkins told me that they are really trying to push the Platinum Pass benefits this year, and that if you go in to some places, they may give you free stuff. I've never heard of that but she may be right. Also if you didn't know (I didn't), you can get the 10% Platinum discount at TGI Fridays, and Perkins. I didn't think you could because they are chain restaurants.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago the fun patrol was blowing bubbles along the Gemini midway. I haven't noticed them lately.

I actually stayed at Sandcastle Suites a couple weeks ago and they had a booklet of associate thank you cards in our room to pass out to the employees.

Yes, I've seen then blowing bubbles for the children as well. They were also handing out info about shows and attractions. I've also seen then give directions. The thank-you cards are a great idea.

The thank-you cards are a great idea. If someone goes above and beyond, I try to at least mention it to a supervisor if there's one around. I used to make a note and stop at Guest Services on the way out, but that has gotten pretty difficult with my son... I love the idea that I can give them a little card that (I assume) they can turn in to show a job well done.

We received 2 line skip passes back in the beginning of the season towards the end of May from them. We were just walking into the park at the soak city lot and someone gave them to us! I think this is a cool idea.
