FrontierTown Carousel

After viewing Gemini 100, what was the reasoning behind the removal of the FrontierTown carousel?...besides relocating it to Dorney Park. I know it's been some time now, but I miss it.

Probably just the idea that CP already has three other carousels (Kiddy Kingdom, Midway, and Cedar Downs). Its attendence may have been way down because of that. I wish it was still there, because it fits very well in FrontierTown, but I'd never get rid of Cedar Downs, and the Midway Carousel fits beautifully in its prominent location, and you need to have one in Kiddy Kingdom... Probably the least popular of 4 great carousels.

Does cedar point still hold the record for having the most carousels in one park?

I think the primary reason for relocating the carousel was that Cedar Point had several, and Dorney Park needed one.

In its new home, it sits in a building that looks a lot like the Midway Carousel building at Cedar Point. Trouble is, that is a larger machine than CP's Midway Carousel, so it looks a little cramped, particularly compared to the enormous pavilion is had in Frontiertown.
