Frontier Trail Idea

The Frontier Trail is now over 3 decades old. The arrival of the Millenium Force doesn't help its theming. I think that CP should turn that area into a Future World type of path. That would be cool.
I dont think so. I like the frontier trail, and besides the Future themes usually suck, look at Disney; Futureland or whatever they call it.

Frontier trail is one of my favorte parts of the park, specialy on those 85-90+ degree days, cutting down all those trees would give us no cover from the sun. Plus its quite a beautiful part of CP and very quite and calm...of course, not to sure how quite it will be with a 90+ mph coaster screaming through.

I think The trail is fine. Even though Millennium Force has murdered some of the trees it still holds its theme. I mean where else can you do all the crafts that you can on the trail

...We hope you have a great day here at Cedar Point America's Rockin' Roller Coast
The trail if anything needs more trees. Its got the little shops down there for the older guests to visit and the trees to help with the sun.
I want the MF as much as the next guy but alot of people look forward to that part of the Park.

Shoulda designed the ride better but its not my 27 million so i guess what i gotta say doesnt really matter.
I think they just need some new shops, crafts, and so on. They get rid of some but do not replace them.

I will miss the way FT once was. So many people say that it will be the same way it always was despite MF. I totally disagree and don't see where they are getting that notion from. Traffic will increase, as does any area in the past that has received a new coaster. A lot of people also say it will be just as quiet as it always was because Intamin coasters are quiet, but that is a unfair judgment considering the people riding MF will not be.

I guess thats the only downside to MF, is the "possible" disruption of FT, Its kinda hard to have that calm, laid back, fronter feel with a 92 mile coaster car full of screaming people flying by.

But then again, you won't know til this May (for me odds are June) and your standing right there in FT, the rush of looking at this 300+ monster will be too much. I don't know the exact layout of MF, not sure how different the FT will be with it there. Its just something you'll get used to over time.

In about 5 years, or so, all of the underbrush and trees sacrificed by MF will eventually grow back. You will just need to contend with the one part where MF crosses the trail over to the islands. Now granted, the lagoons and islands will never look the same (see my photos from the 70's in the historical section of this site), but I am willing to compromise with the addition of MF!

I too will miss the way Frontier Trail was. But I think we all need to wait until June, when the trees fill in and then judge it.
