Fright Zones were open tonight! (november 1st)

I couldn't believe my own eyes but all the outdoor attractions were open tonight! I have been there closing day since 2003 and they never have them open on closing sunday. What an unexpected treat! Virtually no wind..that fog was thick and the zones were about the best staffed ever! Mad props to whoever made that decision!

Today was a great closing day. The weather was perfect (for Nov.) and the additon of all the Fright Zones was a very welcome and fun surprise. The thick fog also made for some excellent Millennium Force rides as parts of the track on the island were completely covered with thick fog.

I'm guessing you guys didn't get the e-mail from CP earlier in the week. They announced that the ourdoor haunts would be open 6-8pm tonight. I was completely surprised and excited when I read it. And a great day it was. The weather was perfect and the fog was excellent. What a great Closing Weekend.

The time change that made sunset come around 5:45 helped a lot. :)

We went to Fear Faire about 7:40 last night and it was closed. Was it ever open yesterday?

^Now that you mention it, when I went through Fright Zone last night I saw one of the Fear Faire Screamsters in there, so that probably explains why.

The park looked amazing with all of the fog, and made for some awesome MF rides as well. The Scare Zones being open was a huge treat and made closing day so much better.

I will miss the 2009 Season & HalloWeekends greatly :(

Ahhh you guys are making me regret not riding Millenium Force last night...totally forgot how much better fog makes that ride. It was like 7:52PM, and I was right next to Maverick. I decided I could probably get 2 easy Maverick rides or make a fast dash for Millenium Force. I went with 2 rides on Maverick and got on the last train!

Fear Faire was closed yesterday and the Screamsters were moved to the other three zones.

Zeek, I had a feeling that may have been the case. I was thinking maybe they couldn't get as many screamsters as needed due to what appears to be a last minute change and they just closed down Fear Faire because of the shortage.

The fog was perfect last night and the full moon was icing on the cake.

It was somewhat of last minute but there was still a good turn out for it being the last day. And the fog was amazing. You couldn't see the other side of the bridge on the island so it was amazing.

Yes the FF people were moved and we ended up in either TI or FZ, I was slated to go to CE but they decided they would be fine right before we went out so I was a lost clown in FZ!
