Fright lane tickets?????

Is Cedar Point going to be selling fright lane tickets this year? I still see nothing on the website.... and a side question, are roller coasters the only rides open during halloweekends? or are a bunch of other rides open as well? Thank you!

Yes, they are selling fright lane tickets this year. I stumbled on them by accident when looking at the prices for fast lane. If you go into the website and click to purchase fast lane tickets, fright lane tickets also come up. You have to pick your date and number of tickets you want before seeing them though.

As for what is open, I believe that all rides are open on Saturdays and Sundays (with the exception of water rides and those down for weather/maintenance reasons). Friday has limited rides but I am not sure if it is just roller coasters or not.

Holy crap did prices go up...

Fast Lane 85
Fast Lane Plus 105
Fright Lane 55

No sign of a combo yet.

Actually different prices for Sept/Oct...

All Saturdays in September
Fast Lane 85
Fast Lane Plus 105
Fright Lane 55

All Saturdays in October
Fast Lane 85
Fast Lane Plus 105
Fright Lane 70 !!!!!!!!!!!

Just go in the houses during the afternoon on Sunday. Sometimes you practically have the houses to yourself and get all the attention.

I can't imagine paying $70 on a packed Saturday, entering a house, and basically attaching to a slow-moving train of people the whole way through. I guess you save the time waiting in line, but you're still paying for a lackluster experience.

Last year we did the houses Friday night and there wasn't a line with more than a 20 minute wait (and I don't even think it was that long). I'm not sure if this is always the case or if we were lucky, since the night we went was kind of rainy.

So the prices this year are totally separate? Last year it was 15 dollars more to upgrade from a fast lane to a fright lane, but this year I have to buy both?

That basically doubles the price from what we paid last year for the group rate (65 per ticket for both fast last and fright lane).

Is that accurate? I thought they were always separate. They were at Kings Island at least.

also on the CP website when you go to order Fast Lane passes it lists the Fright Lane as a bronze star, the fast lane as gold, and fast lane plus as platinum...

I wish they explained this better on the website...

It's accurate. Even better, you could add it on later if you decided that yeah, you did want the fright lane.

Something tells me that won't be an option this year. Though I do hope someone posts soon letting us know if there will be a combo this year.

That's for a 1 person purchase. I would guess the vast majority are 2+. Fast lane is only $70 and fast lane plus $90 for 4 or more people. (There is only 1 price for fright lane) Given the major capacity issues they have had with fast lane this year particularly on MF and Maverick (which are just regular FL), I don't understand why they are so hesitant to raise the fast lane prices. I thought they would bump up regular FL another $5 or $10 to get some of the capacity issues resolved for HW.

Of course it was for a 1 person purchase, because I didn't want to put out 4 columns of data. This wasn't so much to poo on the increase of fast lane (which they did, a lot), it was to point out the increase of fright lane for Sept and the insane increase in October.

Last edited by Scottyf,

Anyone got a scan of what the fright lane passes look like? Are they punch cards like last year, wristbands, etc?

Last edited by Scottyf,

A couple weekends now, anyone got info on the fright lane tickets? Are they lanyards? Are they punch cards? Is there a Fright Lane + Fast Lane Discount?

I was there yesterday (busy, nice weather, Saturday). I saw people with lanyards that got hole punched before entering the houses. I did not see any fast lane/fright lane discounts. Totally would not be worth it to me, even on a crazy busy Saturday. We got all the haunts and houses done and some ride time in at night.
If you were going to spend the money, I would spend a little extra and just get Fast Lane. Then you would definitely have no problem getting the whole park done, especially if you have early entry.
So many more things to do and endless rides with the fast lane instead, much better value imo. The longest haunt/house wait was around 40 minutes for Eternity Infirmary around 9ish, and even then, the line was significantly shorter around 10:30-11.
