Can anyone who was at Halloweekends tell me if the Midway Market had their Friday pizza buffet? It's a tradition for our family. We're looking forward to it.
Yes, Midway Market has the Friday night pizza buffet again.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
The parks website says that the Creepy Kookie Castle Cafe is suppost to be a pizza buffet. However, when I ate there this weekend it is a sit-down menu order place. I really liked the buffet style last year and was disappointed.
I saw the Creepy Kookie Castle Cafe for the first time last Friday and thought it was really well done. The extensive decorations are really fun and give the place a great atmosphere.

It is very well done indeed. We enjoyed our trip there last year, even though it was early in the season and the kitchen hadn't quite figured out the pizza-buffet-thing yet.
I too miss the pizza buffet (it's definitely gone, replaced by a sit-down menu.)
When we saw the new menu, we turned around and went over the Midway Market. It lacks the ambiance (but price is better.) Even so, we probably will eat outside the park next time we go.
Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...
I was there Friday night 9/29/06 at the Midway Market and had the buffet for $8.95. I would have not known about it if it wasn't for this post. Thanks!!! It was very good and reasonalbe priced for dinning in the park.
Yeah, here's the sign they have posted:

Isnt there a East of Chicago that has a buffet right of the property? *** Edited 10/4/2006 12:20:55 AM UTC by FPWarriors20***
Yes there is but I think they're already closed for the season.

East of Chicago closes for the season on Labor day. I haven't figured that one out, they're really missing out on some of the Halloweekend crowds. Even if they don't open during the week, I could see them doing weekends only when the park is still open.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Up until a few years ago, I recall them being open right up until Closing Day.
