Freeway times?

can anyone let me in on what time the freeway stamps are being given out, i heard there is a split, some at 11am, some at 2pm.

Also, can you get more than one this year, or is it still just one per person per day.

i'm still a little confused on this issue.

most interested in a stamp for TTD wouldnt' mind a second for Raptor though.

if date of visit matters, we'll be there on May 29.

Top Thrill Dragster stamps are given out at 2pm. I do not know about the times for the other stamps. I thought all the other were given out at 11am. Whoever is working the entrance of the ride will know what time the ride's stamps are given out so just ask.

Also you can get 2 stamps per day, however only 1 stamp for TTD and MF ( for example you can't get 2 stamps for TTD at different times).

Can you get one each on MF and TTD? Also, those are the times they start giving out right?

Yes, Wichita Kansas DOES have a rollercoaster. It's name you ask? Well...Rollercoaster...

Yes, and Yes

thanks!

info is much appreciated!

Here's the basic outline of how FreeWay works this season.

FreeWay is a completely free ride reservation system using handstamps. It is available on six rides this season: Millennium Force, Raptor, Top Thrill Dragster, Mantis, Magnum, and Wicked Twister. Reservation times for Millennium Force, Raptor, and Mantis are available starting at 11 am. Times for Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, and Magnum are available starting at 2 pm.
You must go to the Freeway kiosk next to the particular ride you want a stamp for. The stamp you receive will have a particular time on it (for example, 1-2 pm). You return to the ride between the time period that has been assigned to you, enter the special FreeWay queue and jump ahead of other guests in line, successfully cutting down your wait time for the ride. Each FreeWay kiosk gives out only a certain number of handstamps per day based on that ride's capacity, so if you want a stamp for a popular ride (especially Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster), it is best to arrive early to the kiosk at the time that kiosk will begin passing out stamps. People actually line up in advance to get stamps for Millennium and Dragster, so you may seen a line waiting that you'll want to join. We do enforce a "linejumping" policy with the lines for FreeWay handstamps.

Guests at Cedar Point can only get a total of two FreeWay handstamps per day. They can mix and match the stamps how they want, however, they can only receive one stamp for Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force (example: Guest A receives a stamp for Millennium and one for Raptor. Guest B receives two stamps for Raptor. Both ways are permissible).
A reservation time does not guarantee ride availability; weather or maintenance conditions can cancel one's reservation time.

I hope this clears up some of the questions about FreeWay. I think it's a great system, especially because it's completely free for our guests. If you have any further questions about FreeWay while visiting Cedar Point, you can stop by any FreeWay kiosk, Guest Services, or Park Operations. We will be happy to answer your questions.

I just rub off my old stamp that has been used and get a new one if I have time
Be aware...

On Sunday, TTD Freeway opened at 2:00pm.

All TTD Freeway stamps had been distributed by 2:45pm.

Why even bother with this system? If you give out all the stamps that quickly, it seems it would just anger the guests in line. I seem to remember the math last season that said the total number of stamps is quite small. Having just returned from Disney, FastPass is fresh in my mind. It seems as though late in the day they are STILL available, even for very low capacity rides.
The FAQ on this site is there for a reason folks.
disney's fastpass is nearly always availble for ride times.

i personally LOVE that system.

the only time i ran into issues with obtaining a fastpass was over the easter holiday.

? with the freeway lines. When is the best time to go the the freeway stand if you want to receive a freeway stamp. I know it will vary from ride to ride but say for something like MF and TTD. If I show up to the stand about 15 min before they start giving them out, do you think I would still be able to receive a stamp. If anyone has any clue of how early one should go to the stand I would appreciate it. 2 days til C.P!!
Use common sense.

disney's fastpass is nearly always availble for ride times

The downside is that a *much* larger fraction of ride capacity is devoted to fastpass than freeway. For example, 80% of California's ToT capacity is reserved for fastpass guests, leaving a slooooow standby line.

To anonymous, screw you. I just asked a simple question. Since you have all the common sense in the world why dont you share your view with me since I guess I dont have any.
Interesting. When we went Wednesday, 5/19, we got in the park at 9:30 for JCC, and they were giving out Freeways for TTD right off the bat. We got one, then got on the ride. (First front seat ride ever, man that rocks!).

Ironically, when we came back for our 1-2 ride, it broke down, but the gate op told us we could use it later, so long as it wasn't stamped out. We came back at 4, and got in line for Freeway, barely made it to the ramp, and it broke down again. Yech, strike 2!

But, it appeared that they stopped giving out stamps, and restarted giving them out again at 2pm that day.

Is this common?

well i'll be visiting on friday the 28th now, due to a rainy forcast for the 29th.

and i plan on checking the freeway booth on and off and staying in the general area.

last year i didn't get a chance to visit CP at all, so last i seen anything of TTD was when it was barely anything at all at halloweekends of 2002.

I've yet to ride this and i cannot miss it on my first trip back in a year.

Good luck basing your visit on a forecast seven days from now. Forecasts around here can change overnight!

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Yes. Management has decided that this season, whenever one of our early entry (Joe Cool and Resort) scheduled rides isn't available to open for ERT, we will pass out FreeWay handstamps for the unavailable ride during the time the ERT was supposed to take place to allow those guests who missed out on ERT quick access to the ride later in the day. We only gave out handstamps during that first half hour, then open up again at the regularly scheduled time for that FreeWay kiosk for the general public later in the day.

With rides such as Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force, guests are still limited to only for reservation time for each each day (so if you get your stamp for Dragster during early entry time, you've used up your 1 stamp for that ride that day).

Hope this helps.

As much as Dragster is down during the morning ERTs, I think that giving out stamps during the down time is a great idea. I'll head over to Dragster now during Joe Cool. Even if the ride isn't running, I'll collect my stamp and head over to Millennum, which is usually running. Hopefully that is what the resort guests will do too. I always thought it was such a waist to spend your entire ERT standing on the midway waiting for the ride to open.
