Freeway Passes

Do the Freeway passes for Millenium Force cost anything, or do they just hand them out? If they do cost something than what do they cost?

They do not cost anything (FREEway).

Florida may have Disney World and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.

You can only get one stamp per day, and they are free, which is surprising considering the amount and strength of the ink that they use. I always have to use rubbing alcohol to get it off.

2 stamps a day, I read...

I own you!

I'm staying there two days so could I get 2 the first day, and then wash them off that night so I could get two more the next day?

I never knew free way passes are free, where do you get them?
At the little booths in front of the rides. They start handing them out at 11:00, and they give out 100 per hour per ride.

You can get two stamps a day if you get them on Raptor, Wicked Twister, Magnium, or Mantis.

You can only get one for Millennium Force and Dragster (if it comes back).

Only one per ride though.

All the Freeway stamps are free, they are just a matter of whether or not you can get their in time to get a stamp for the ride. You don't have to be anybody special get them which was a re-ocurring question today. Anybody who is a guest at the park can get one.

You can have two free way stamps each day, one on each hand for different rides. They are very convenient if you want to experience more. They don't seem to effect the flow of the line to much other than when the new hours arrive and everybody shows up at once.

The thing about these passes is that you love to have them but absolutely hate it when you see somebody walk pass you.

The rides that I saw with FreeWay passes that you get to choose from is Millenium Force, Magnum, Mantis, Wicked Twister, Raptor, and there is a booth for Top Thrill Dragster but I never saw anyone use it but today, nor did I ever see it was open. The operator at Wicked Twister said they usually don't have it on their new attractions, but they just started it last year I think and Wicked Twister had it and somebody said they had one for Top Thrill Dragster today.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

When I was at Cedar Point 6/3 and 6/4, the ride ops on the ride answered the question if freeway was going to be in use. They said "Freeway for Top Thrill Dragster will not be in use until the next season."

3 TTD rides in 2 hours!

Well, I'd imagen the reason they never use Freeway on TTD is/was because of capicity problems. Up until recently they didn't even have all the trains.

Maybe they'll start using freeway for TTD sometime this year if they get all the bigger problems worked out first...

They said they won't use it til next year.

With TTD, there is a potential problem with too much downtime. With MF, they are giving out their stamps as fast as they can stamp someone's hand. At 11:30 AM, I got the time of 7-8 PM. By noon, I'm sure they were completely out. In contrast, I'm sure TTD will run out just as fast. If they give out 1,000 stamps and then TTD runs into downtime issues, it'll create problems that Ticket-To-Ride did with Millennium Force when MF had its own opening year problems with downtime.

Then obviously it's set in stone. (rolls eyes.) Those employees are told to say that. It's up to the park operations office to determine the finality of that statement. I can almost gurantee that Freeway will be in use on TTD by the end of this season.

"What time does the 10 pm laser show start?"

Like what Neo said, the employees holding a stick aren't the ones who decide what happens. I bet if they can get it running steady for a while they will prolly start using the Freeway stamps.

Just a little side note: why would they leave out the cart if they planned to never use it?

They probably did plan on using it. They might have actually thought that TTD would hit 1,500 people per hour and not have so many breakdowns.
