Freeway pass - how does it work? Please explain?

Is there a seperate kiosk for each ride or is there a general kiosk where you would pick the ride that you want a freeway pass for?

How hard are they to get? Thanks in advance.

Seperate kiosk near each ride, sign posted saying when times are given out, line forms, you get in it and get stamped, during your hour you get to cut right up front.
