Freeway and WT

Ever time I have attended the park the wait time for Wicked Twister has been about 30 mins, and the line doesn't stretch that far beyond the feeway merge point. For these reason I think that using Freeway on WT is a waste, I usually end up using them on MF and Mantis. My Question is have any of you been to the park when using a freeway on WT would have been worth it? And also do you see Cedar Point discontinuing Freeway of Wicked Twister?

Everytime I go, I get freeway for WT. I don't think that it is a waste. Most of the time that I have been there, Wt's wait was about an hour to an hour-half. Now though, I'll probably start getting it for TTD and MF instead of WT and Mantis like normal.

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

personally, i went to CP 7 times in 2002 and never felt the need for freeway on WT.

the waits were varied but i'd say my longest was about 40 minutes.

compared to me waiting in line 3 1/2 hours the first time i road MF i'll take the stamp for that any day.

The two days I was just there they weren't even giving them out. It was just a walk up to the station.

On that note, why is it we are assigned seats on MF and WT but allowed to stack three or four trains back on Dragster? This makes no sense to me. I can slightly understand WT since the train launches and there probably needs to be more sight lines in the station but why not let people wait for row 2 on MF?

when they assign you a seat on WT or MF usually if you ask they'll let you wait for where you want to sit, i've waited for the backseats on both rides and every ride with no problems.

unless they changed their policy since 2002 just mention to the attendent you'd prefer to sit in a certain area.

WT backseat is the best ride by far for that ride.

As far as I could tell there is no seat assigning for WT. They did a good job of controlling the platform though. They only let about a train worth in at a time, and I didn't see them ask anyone to move to another seat to keep things even. Their control of the platform could also have been caused by the randomness of the ride. We got onto the platform and the ride took off came down and stopped just outside the station. So they backed it up, and let them off into the queues. Ran a couple tests, and it ran fine, that group gets on, runs fine, next group, runs fine, and then we got on with no problems. We were in the seat second from the back and being the first time I've had a chance to ride it, it is one of the best rides in the park.
My brother said that one of his friends told him it sucked, but we both loved it. Just hitting that back twist and hanging right over the station as you stall out at the top. I just hope next time I go it is up and running more consistently.

A freeway would have been nice last year during the 4th of July on Wicked Twister when the line was pouring out into the midway. Of course, you seem to need a freeway for any ride that day ;)

I think it's all based on what day you go, of course. Right now the park isn't crowded and WT has no need for Freeway. In the middle of summer most rides need it.

Freeway for Wicked Twister isn't needed, I'd say, 72% of the time. It really has one of the best wait time to thrill ratios in the park.

Also, if the line for it was out on the midway last year, that was just because not enough queues had been opened up in the line. The back third of queues were never opened except for once or maybe twice for all of last year.

Freeway on Wicked Twister can be of some advantage, there are some days like now where the line doesn't have you turning back and forth. But there are hot days that can have you standing there for 45 minutes with nothing to do but try to catch a glimpse of the Splash show it seems.

From a psychological position, it seems to go really slow until you get to the freeway merge point, but once you are there, the line starts to move really fast. But it isn't completely a waste, there were days like the fourth of july where the line was well over an hour long and it was one of the shorter lines.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

One of the days I visited in WT's opening weekend, the WT stamp guy was sitting at the booth looking quite bored... went to him and got a stamp just because I kinda felt bad for him!

I always use freeway passes on TTD and Mantis...funny how Millenium Force isn't that long of a line...

Wow, cotton_eye_joe, how your posts never have anything to do with the topic...

As for WT... I never waist my free-ways for WT, I've been able to walk onto WT almosts everyday, let alone use a free-way for it...

Dude I know!!! I was just tellin what coasters I usually use freeways on. Good God, chill. This site needs more Ohioans on it.

MF is actually worth Freeway this year. The line moves slower due to the topic explained in the MF forum. WT line doesn't move very fast anywhere in the queue to my point of view. TTD's (when running right) queue move very fast until you hit the ramp.

one day in july when i was at the park if i would have wanted to ride wt the line was all the way filled and a little out so freeway would have been worth it.

Freeway seems like a good idea now that maXair is in that area of the park. On opening day, WTs line was around an hour or so during the peak part of the day.

With the addition of maXair that once-dead area of the park is now very busy. I see Wicked Twister having much longer waits than in previous years, so yes I think freeway will be worth it for WT this year, though in the past it really wasn't.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.

I've been to the park 3 times so far this year. My opinion on WT lines is that they are busier during the morning and afternoon, but it dies way down as the day and evening go on. I haven't seen it more than a 20 minute wait in the evening.

I've never had to get the WT fastpass. The last three or so times I went, the most the wait was, was about 20 mins. Most people migrated over to MF and TTD insteadm leaving the WT open for me to ride as much as I pleased...which was probably too much for my own good, but I love it!
