Freeway

I wonder where the Freeway entrance will be. IF they have that for this ride.
I'm going to bet that they have Freeway worked out very nice for this ride.

Its the first coaster to be built after the system was started, so they will know how to set it up to work the best.

They will use the Freeway system for Dragster. Or, so I was told in August by an employee who would know.

No doubt they will use freeway. This ride will probably have a sexy sexy red stamp :)

Whta about Wicked Twister?

FreeWay wasn't implemented at the very start of season 2002, so if it is indeed used on Top Thrill Dragster, Dragster will be the first new coaster to have it all the way through the season.

And what...WT is old?

They built the WT with the free way queue lines.

No, Wicked Twister isn't old, but FreeWay was used on Wicked Twister last year for part of the season -- so, it stands to reason that Dragster is the first brand-new coaster built at the park that may have it from the beginning to the end of the season. Not that it matters or that I really passionately care...I was just adding another piece of information for you folks to play around with, and trying to help "Top Thrill Dragster" answer the question they asked.

Back to the regularly scheduled topic...

Yes its true, Freeway was in place for the opening of the 02 season! I was contracted on Wicked Twister and in early April when we were learning to operate the ride they walked the whole crew through the qeues and explained the freeway system..Then we all rode to test it out!...Thats when it had wheel covers!

It's like a Fastpass. You get your hand stamped for a certain time on a certain ride and then you go at that time through the exit and get on immediately.

Wicked Twister's wheel covers can be seen here.

They were taken off because they have been known to fly off mid-ride on the other impulses...not something you want hitting an unsuspecting, sue-happy guest.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Sue-happy? is that like trigger-happy? When did they take off the wheel covers? Did they have them on opening day because I think they might have.
