I've never rode the Mantis before. But I will. Looks like alot of fun.
the only beef i had with the mantis was it's ride operators, one word, terrible, you could totally tell they didnt enjoy their jobs and were showing it through the way they acted. yelling at riders over the intercom, stuff like that, it just doesnt make the ride enjoyable for us. last year i saw some girl ride op at the top of the stairs in a chair bent over looking like she was sick, that's just something you dont wanna see when you ride. it's true that some people should get educated on their seatbelt-shoulderharness deal, but the ride ops shouldnt get all up in their face about it
later
I have found that by lifting one leg off the floor and bending my other knee it absorbs alot of the "bumps"-especially towards the end of the ride after the 2nd trim brakes. I dont particulary remember any of the ride ops being nasty-it was kind of funny to me that 3 of them remembered me the last Halloweekend from going the weekend before. OBTW-for any of you who have had probs riding Mantis have you tried riding in the front car? Altnough not as exciting a ride up there (cause you can see where you're going)this helps you absorb some of the "obstacles" cause you see them comin
just a thought
I know I'll be riding!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
Now that I stand with an ever so slight and I so mean ever so slight bend in my knees I am fine through the whole ride. To me it just gets better and better each time I ride it.
